Liverpool God turned Paddy Power ambassador Phil Thompson is lacing up his boots ahead of the first game of another busy Premier League weekend. He’s licking his lips as we get ready for Newcastle v Liverpool at 12.30pm on Saturday.
WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
The Reds are in sensational form and will continue their title charge against the richest club on the planet who have won four on the bounce. Two in-form teams, then, but only one can win. How does Thommo see this playing out? Here’s his Newcastle v Liverpool Tips.
12.30pm: Newcastle v Liverpool
TV: BT Sport 1 and BT Sport Ultimate
Newcastle have been doing very well they’ve had a good run, winning their last four games which came after losing three on the trot. You can say they’re in good form. They’ve won 10 of their last 14 Premier League games and that’s quite astonishing.
Listen to this, since the turn of the year, only Liverpool have accumulated more points than Newcastle. Liverpool are in wonderful form and have lost three of their last 64 in all competitions, they’ve won 19 of 25 away games, keeping seven clean sheets in their last eight Premier League games.
It is all pointing towards Liverpool, I am going for Both Teams to Score in this. I do fancy Liverpool to Win 3-1. I went with Sadio Mane in midweek and he paid out but I’m going for the Football Writers’ Player of the Year Mo Salah to Score Anytime.
