It’s a pretty quiet Sunday evening across Europe this weekend, what with is being Easter and all. There is, however, action from Germany, France and Spain to get stuck into with some of the biggest sides on the planet in action.

We’ve got Bayer Leverkusen v RB Leipzig to kick us off in the Bundesliga before Paris St-Germain continue their procession towards the League 1 title. In La Liga it’s a clash that was looking like a potential title decider at Christmas time but Real Madrid will now be looking to increase the gap between themselves and Sevilla to 15 points.
So, put your feet up, get the telly on and keep the feast of football roiling, safe in the knowledge there’s no work to worry about on Monday. It’s time for your Sunday night Euro treble!

6.30pm: Bayer Leverkusen v RB Leipzig – The Draw
TV: Sky Sports Football
It’s 3rd hosting 4th in Germany and RB Leipzig can leapfrog Bayer Leverkusen with a win. There’s just one point in it and our away side have a vastly-significant goal difference. On the face of it you might be surprised to find they’re Paddy’s big favourites to win as well.
But Leipzig are the Bundesliga’s in-form team and they’ve failed to win on just three occasions in their last 12 league matches, drawing twice and losing once – away at Bayern Munich. Leverkusen, on the other hand have won two, drawn two and lost to Koln in their last five.
I’d be included to side with Paddy’s football traders but the fact that RB played on Thursday night has to be a factor in this. This can go any which way but I’ll hedge my bets and go with The Draw given that neither can afford to lose.
7.45pm: Paris St-Germain v Marseille – PSG win and BTTS
TV: BT Sport 1
PSG are cruising to the Ligue 1 title but the red-hot Marseille can cut the gap to a meager nine points with a win here. They’re second and have won eight on the bounce in all competitions. PSG would kill for that kind of form, though. They’ve won four and lost four in their last eight across the competitions.
The key thing to remember here is that the Parisians’ poor form has come on the road with all of those defeats coming away from Parc des Princes. PSG are too short to back, even with the big value in our first bet. However, we can side with them in the result and Both to Score market. Marseille have netted in 10 of their last 11. Our hosts have scored 11 in their last two, conceding in both, and should outgun Marseille as PSG with with Both Teams to Score.
8pm: Sevilla v Real Madrid – Under 2.5 Goals
TV: Premier Sports 2 and LaLigaTV
We wrap things up in Spain where champions elect Real Madrid can take a big step towards their coronation with a win over Sevilla. The Rojiblancos have slumped to 3rd in the wake of Barcelona’s sensational form and are 12 points behind the table-topping club from the capital.
They’ll be looking over their shoulders at the chasing pack vying for a top-four spot now rather than dreaming of the title as they were just a few months ago. In La Liga Real have failed to win just six of their last 23 matches. Sevilla have won just three of their last 11, drawing and incredible seven times in that run.
They are, at least, hard to beat. They have the best defensive record in the Spanish top flight with Real Madrid just four goals behind them. Real wipe the floor with them on the attacking stats but they’ve scored 63 in 31. By way of comparison, Liverpool have scored 79 in the same amount.
This will probably be a war of attrition with a moment of magic from one of Real’s stars enough to be the difference. If there aren’t Under 2.5 Goals here I’ll be very, very surprised.
