Ding, ding! Round two. It feels like just last weekend we were treated to Manchester City and Liverpool going at it hammer and tongs in an elite-level contest. Oh, hang on, it was. How lucky are we that we get to watch these two magnificent teams to battle again?

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

This time there’s an FA Cup final spot on the line. It’s a big occasion and there’s nobody better than former Red and Paddy Power ambassador Phil Thompson to deliver his wisdom on the big match. Will he be sending that white suit to the dry cleaners or hiding it away for another 12 months? Here’s Thommo’s Manchester City v Liverpool tips.

3.30pm: Manchester City v Liverpool

TV: BBC One, BBC iPlayer and BBC Sport Website

It was as wonderful game last weekend, wasn’t it? Normally when it gets hyped up on the television it doesn’t happen, does it? But I think it thrilled everybody. You look at midweek for Liverpool, they were able to rest seven players. They earned the right from the first-leg win in Benfica to rest those players.

It was a terrific game against Benfica and ended 3-3. Yes, you think Liverpool conceded three goals but it was a makeshift defence and what about Manchester City? My goodness, it was a bruising encounter with Atletico Madrid in more ways than one. And that is where it maybe puts Liverpool in the box seat. Kevin De Bruyne and Kyle Walker both went off injured.

I’ve heard people saying that De Bruyne’s a big miss but Walker’s not. Walker always turns it on. He turns on those afterburners. Playing against Sadio Mane he goes, ‘Go on, go down the line. I’ve got enough pace to get you.’

He will be a big miss. Mane, I’m quite sure, will start the game. Like last week I’m going to go for Both Teams To Score in Draw within the 90 minutes. If you want a result after extra time I’m going to go for Liverpool.

I fancy Phil Foden to Score Anytime for City and Mo Salah to Score Anytime for Liverpool, he’s not scored for a while!
