For Friday night’s football acca we’ve gone through the best of the action available and found a feisty wee four-fold that’s brimming with value. We’ll be looking at Real Sociedad vs Betis in La Liga with both teams vying for European football next season and in Italy Serie A leaders AC Milan can heap more pain on relegation-threatened Genoa.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

In France, Rennes can wrestle second-place from Marseille should they beat a visiting Monaco but kicking us off here Wayne Rooney’s Derby County face Championship leaders Fulham.

20.00: Derby v Fulham – Aleksandar Mitrovic to Score Anytime

Derby have only won one of their last five league fixtures, drawing one and losing three. Over those five games they scored four goals and conceded eight. At Pride Park things are much better though as the Rams have won three of their last five played there in the Championship, drawing one and losing one, scoring six and conceding three. Fulham have won two of their last five in the league, drawing one and losing two while on their league excursions have won three, drawn one and lost one, scoring nine and conceding three.

Aleksandar Mitrovic’s form has been in top form all-season. The Serbian striker has 38 goals over his 38 league games for the Cottagers and has four over his last five in a Fulham shirt and four over his last five away Championship games. With stats like that we have to give him the nod here, particularly as he has three over his six previous games against the hosts.

20.00: Rennes v Monaco – Rennes to Win

Both sides come into this one in decent shape. The home side have only lost one of their last nine fixtures and have won four and drawn one over their five most previous games, scoring a very healthy 16 and conceding seven. Monaco have won three, drawn one and lost one over their last five fixtures while their away form leaves a lot to be desired as they’ve won just two, drawn one (losing it on penalties) and lost two, scoring five and conceding six.

Looking at Rennes’ home form they’ve won all seven of their most recent fixtures played at Roazhon Park in all competitions and it’s worth mentioning here too that the visitors have only come away with the full three points in one of their last six visits there. The hosts have the superior form and we see them continuing their fine home record here against a side who are struggling on the road. Rennes to Win has the value.

20.00: AC Milan v Genoa – Milan to Win 1-0, 2-0 or 3-0

With Inter playing Spezia earlier in the evening Milan will know exactly what’s needed going into this match. Inter should win their game but Milan will be pretty confident here too against a side whose Serie A days looked numbered. Milan are unbeaten over their last 12 games in all competitions while in the league have won three and drawn two of their last five and drawn three and won two of their last five at the San Siro.

Genoa have won just one of their last five, drawing two and losing two while their away trips have seen them going 14 without a win, drawing three and losing two of their last five. Genoa have failed to score in four of their last five Serie A fixtures and in four of their last five on the road too while Milan have kept four clean sheets over their last five on home soil. Milan to Win to Nil is a decent option here but we’re getting better odds if we go with the Correct Score Combination bet of Milan to Win 1-0, 2-0 or 3-0.

20.00: Real Sociedad v Betis – Real Sociedad to Win

While Barcelona in second aren’t going to catch Real Madrid in first; there’s a 12 point gap, only six points separate Barcelona and Real Sociedad in sixth. Betis, Atletico Madrid and Sevilla make up the other three teams in between. As you can see then it’s quite tight at the top as we enter the final stretch for who gets to play Champions League football next season. Both teams are in good nick here, the hosts have won three of their last five, drawing one and losing one while at the Anoeta Stadium they’ve won four and lost one over their last five played there.

Betis have won three and drawn two over their five most previous fixtures while on their travels have won two, drawn two and lost one. The hosts’ defensive talents should make the difference here, they’ve conceded a grand total of no goals over their last six home La Liga games and this coupled with their strong home results means we’re giving Los Txuri-Urdin the nod.
