Pep Guardiola’s beautiful, free flowing Manchester City side head to Atletico Madrid for another clash of styles that will decide which of these two sides will make it into the Champions League semi finals. City hold a slender 1-0 win from the first leg which saw the Spanish outfit muster zero shots on target.

Will Diego Simeone’s dogs of war come out on the attack here or can we expect more of the same? City will have to keep their cool in the Wanda Metropolitano bearpit. Can they do just that? Here’s Paddy Power ambassador Phil Thompson’s Atletico Madrid v Manchester City tips.
Tuesday 8pm: Atletico Madrid v Manchester City
TV: BT Sport 2 and BT Sport Ultimate
I’m looking at it and it was amazing wasn’t it, they got beat at the weekend, Atletico Madrid, 1-0 by Mallorca of all teams. But the interesting thing was the roles were reversed because Mallorca sat back, 68% possession for Atletico Madrid. They had 611 passes to 298 of Mallorca so twice as many passes, and they got beat.
They’re used to sitting back and I think City will have all the play again. We’ve seen Liverpool play at Atletico in the last few years and it’s a tough place to go. Diego Simeone will be waving his arms about, getting the crowd going. It will be hostile.
Atletico Madrid will score, but I think City will Win this. I think they’ll just pip them. I’m going for a 2-1 Win for City. Kevin De Bruyne has scored in the last four games, I’m expecting De Bruyne to Score Anytime again he’s in great form.
