Tuesday’s football acca has us searching for value in the Champions League as Bayern Munich welcome Villarreal to the Allianz Arena where they are trailing 0-1 on aggregate in their quarter final. In Spain, Chelsea have a tough task ahead of them as they need to overturn Real Madrid’s 3-1 aggregate lead in their respective second leg. We’ve also found some value in both of the League One matches in England where Burton host league leaders Wigan and Portsmouth face third-placed Rotherham.

19.45: Burton v Wigan – Wigan to Win & Both Teams to Score

Burton have won just one of their last five League One fixtures but enjoy a 10 point gap between themselves and the relegation zone. They’ve lost three and drawn one over the other four. At the Pirelli Stadium the Brewers have a far better record though with two wins, two draws and one loss over their last five, scoring eight and conceding seven with Over 2.5 Goals and Both Teams to Score landing in three of them.

Wigan are enjoying a run of eight games undefeated in league competition, winning four and drawing one over their five most previous League One clashes and on their recent travels have won three and drawn two, scoring 10 and conceding four with BTTS landing in four of those five. With both teams in good goal-scoring nick then we should go with a BTTS bet here but Wigan’s strong recent form is hard to argue against so with that in mind there’s some great value to be had here in backing Wigan to Win & BTTS.

19.45: Portsmouth v Rotherham – Under 2.5 Goals

Portsmouth’s form has really taken a dive of late; after going on a run of six wins and one draw they’ve now failed to win in any of their five most recent matches, drawing three and losing two and only managed to score a single goal. At home their form is quite good with three wins and two draws over their five most previous league clashes.

Rotherham’s overall form isn’t great too with one win, one draw and three losses over their last five in the league however, on their away trips they’ve won three and drawn two. Like their opponents here they’ve also not been scoring many of late, just three over their last five League One matches. Hard to imagine this one being added to the annals of classic League One matches with both sides struggling for goals; we’re backing Under 2.5 Goals here.

20.00: Bayern Munich v Villarreal – Bayern to Win & Both Teams to Score

Although trailing 0-1 on aggregate from the first leg the hosts are short odds to qualify for the semifinal. Bayern had a very tough game over the weekend, beating Augsburg 1-0 at home thanks to a late Robert Lewandowsky penalty. Their overall form is quite good though with three wins, one draw and a loss over their last five fixtures in all competitions while at home they’ve won five of their last six, drawing the other, scoring a mighty 20 goals while conceding five.

Villarreal could only manage a 1-1 draw at home to Athletic Bilbao over the weekend and have won two, drawn one and lost two over their last five games. On their travels the Yellow Submarine have won two and drawn three over their last five, scoring seven and conceding five. An interesting stat that popped out at us here; Bayern have scored at least two goals in all 10 of their most recent home Champions League games while Villarreal have chalked up 11 over their four away games in the competitions so far. We have to hand to the hosts here their strength in depth and experience at this level while also hosting the game should see them over the line so we’re backing Bayern to Win & Both Teams to Score.

20.00: Real Madrid v Chelsea – Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals

Chelsea sent a warning to Real Madrid with their 0-6 hammering of Southampton over the weekend and they’re going to need to be at their very best to get the better of their former manager Carlo Ancelloti’s side. The hosts have won four of their last five games in all competitions, losing the other one and share the same record over their last five on home soil, scoring 12 and conceding six.

Chelsea have won three and lost two over their last five fixtures but their away stats are incredibly strong; winning all seven games in-a-row and have scored 17 over their five most recent away games. With both teams in such mighty goals-scoring form there’s loads of value here in combining BTTS with Overs here.
