Paddy Power football ambassador Phil Thompson has gazed longingly into his crystal ball once more to try and find his followers some more winning value this weekend. This time he’s looking at the London derby between Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.
Both teams tasted success during midweek. Spurs come into the game off the back of a 2-0 win away at Brighton on Wednesday night, whilst West Ham are still riding high from their extra time victory against Sevilla on Thursday night in the Europa League.

It’s a crucial game in the race for Europe, but how does Thommo see it going? Here’s his verdict.

Spurs v West Ham
Thommo: This is a massive game for both sides. It was a good win for West Ham against Aston Villa last time out in the Premier League, who are in good form themselves. But West Ham had lost their three games before that, it wasn’t going according to plan, they’d got a few injuries and Michail Antonio couldn’t score goals, so there were problems there.
What do we make of Spurs?! They won at Brighton two nil, but prior to that they lost at Manchester United three two, and in their last seven games, they’ve lost every time following a win. So are West Ham rubbing their hands win glee?
But I think Spurs are going to change that, with them winning in midweek, I do expect Spurs to win. They’ve got home advantage and West Ham will sit back.
I do think both teams will score, because West Ham will hit on the counter attack. It will be a tight affair, but I’m going for do think Spurs will win 2-1.
And for the goalscorer? He’s in fine form at the moment, you know who I’m gonna say! Its Harry Kane.
