For Monday night’s Acca we’ve got some fantastic football fixtures lined up with some of the biggest names in European football. We’ll be looking for value in the Portuguese Primeira Liga where Moreirense take on a Sporting Lisbon side looking to cut the distance on league leaders Porto. La Liga leaders Real Madrid are away to Mallorca while Premier League leaders Man City travel to Crystal Palace but kicking us off here we have Lazio at home to relegation-threatened Venezia in the Serie A.

Lazio vs Venezia: Lazio to Win & Over 2.5 Goals

TV: BT Sport 1, 19.45

Lazio’s form isn’t the best of late and they’ll be eager to take on a Venezia side here who are in awful form themselves. The hosts have won just one of their last five fixtures, drawing two and losing two. Their home league form is much better though with two wins, two draws and a loss, scoring 10 and conceding six, with Over 2.5 goals landing in four of those five matches.

The visitors have won just one of their last five in the Serie A, drawing one and losing three, they did, at least, score in four of those five matches though. On their away jaunts they’ve won one, drawn one and lost three, again scoring in four of those five matches with Over 2.5 goals also landing in four of those five encounters. Lazio should get back to winning ways here and with both teams in good scoring nick we’re liking the odds here for a home win and Over 2.5 goals.

Crystal Palace vs Man City: Man City to Win & BTTS

TV: Sky Sports 1, 20.00

Palace come into this home game in pretty decent shape having won three of their last five in all competitions, drawing one and losing one. Their overall Premier League stats aren’t quite as good with two wins, two draws and one loss, still pretty decent though but at Selhurst Park they’ve won just one of their five most recent league clashes, drawing one and losing three.

City can restore a six point lead over Liverpool in second place with a win here and they’ll be confident of taking the three points after having taken all points in five of their last six visits to the Eagles. The visitors have won three of their last five in all competitions, drawing one and losing one while their away league form has seen them going 13 games unbeaten now and have won four of their last five, drawing the other. The hosts have a good home scoring record of 1.57 per home league game and while the away side are obviously the stronger of the two we can see them causing some hassle for Pep Guardiola’s side. With that in mind there’s some great value here in backing City to Win & BTTS.

Mallorca vs Real Madrid: Real Madrid to Win to Nil

TV: La Liga TV, 20.00

Mallorca’s form has seen them falling down the table of late and are now just two points above the relegation zone. This being their game in hand over what’s going on below them they couldn’t be facing a tougher test. Los Piratas have lost four of their last five La Liga fixtures, winning the other but while on home turf they’ve won two of their last five, losing the other three and failed to score in three of them.

Real have won four of their last five fixtures, losing the other while their La Liga form has seen them now going seven games undefeated with five wins and two draws to their name. Away from home, Los Blancos have won three, drawn one and lost one. Real have kept four clean sheets over their five most recent La Liga games and three over their last five on the road and with Mallorca failing to score in five of their last seven on home turf in La Liga we have to go with Real to Win to Nil here.

Moreirense vs Sporting: Sporting to Win & Over 1.5 Goals

20.15

Moreirense sit in second bottom position in the league but a win here would get them from 17th position to 15th. It’s unlikely though, the hosts have only emerged as the winners in one of their last 10 meetings at the Parque Desportivo Comendador Joaquim de Almeida Freitas (is that the longest football stadium name in the world?) against Sporting and that was in Extra Time in a Cup game back in 2012. The home side have won two of their last five on home soil, losing the other three and failed to score in those three losses.

Sporting are unbeaten over their last six league fixtures, winning four and drawing two and over their five most recent away games have won two, drawn two and lost one. The visitors have scored at least two goals in eight of their last nine on their travels and with them being in such great goal-scoring form the value here is in backing an away win and Over 1.5 Goals.
