I’ll level with you. Before a ball was kicked this season I expected West Brom to go up as champions under the astute management of Valérien Ismaël. However, it’s not quite gone to plan for the Baggies.
They had a decent enough start but now find themselves in 13th and managed by Steve Bruce. Life comes at you fast, eh? Brucey looks like a lovely chap but I suspect the Baggies fanbase is a little underwhelmed.

Huddersfield to Win
Despite the respective results last time out, Huddersfield are too big not to back here. It’s 3rd at 13th but the midtable side are Paddy’s big favourites. For context, a much-changed Huddersfield lost to Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup on Monday night while The Baggies beat Hull who are 20th in the second tier.
The bigger picture shows that win was Bruce’s boys’ first three points in eight games. They had taken just one point in that run before Saturday. Huddersfield, on the other hand, had not lost in any competition for 18 games, winning 11 and drawing seven.
The Terriers have the 4th-best away record in the league and West Brom the 12th-best record on home soil. At this price you simply have to be on Huddersfield to Win.
Over 2.5 Goals
Paddy’s traders think there’s going to be two goals in this one but I think we might pass that benchmark and cross the Over 2.5 Goals threshold. Overs has landed in four of Huddersfield’s last five and they’ve conceded in three of those while scoring two or more on four occasions.
Overs has only landed once in West Brom’s last five and they’ve been struggling for goals while shipping plenty at the back. However, given Town’s leaky defence and the fact West Brom notched a couple last time, I’ll side with Over 2.5 Goals.

I think we’ll see Both Teams To Score on our way to what could be a Huddersfield 2-1 win. As mentioned, West Brom bagged two last time out and they’re averaging just over a goal scored a game. Town have a good defence and are averaging exactly one conceded a game this season.
They’re good going forward and net, on average, just under 1.4 goals a game. Both teams have scored in three of the away side’s last five and I just fancy Both Teams to Score.
Sorba Thomas Anytime Assist
One man who’s been absolutely vital to Huddersfield’s promotion push is Sorba Thomas. The winger has been superb this term and has a whopping 13 assists to his name.
He’s creating, on average, 1.6 chances per match and has 16 goal involvements this season, the most of anyone in the Terriers’ squad when his three goals are added to his hefty assist haul. Neither side has a really prolific goal scorer so I’ll side with the potent provider on display and for Sorba Thomas to get an Anytime Assist.
