Sevilla to Win

Looking at overall form it would suggest that both sides are evenly matched here. However, we must mention that Sevilla are currently second in La Liga while West Ham are in sixth in the Premier League and their contrasting home vs away form should swing this in Sevilla’s favour.

The home side have won two, drawn two and lost one over their last five in all competitions while at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan they’ve now gone 10 games undefeated across their recent fixtures there, winning eight of those 10 and winning four of their last five, drawing the other one. The Hammers have won just one of their last five fixtures, drawing two and losing two and their away form has seen them drawing two (winning one in Extra Time) and losing three. West Ham have been mighty in their Europa League games so far but this is a few rungs up the ladder compared to who they’ve played so far and in facing a team who specialise in winning this competition we have to go with the hosts here.

Both Teams to Score

The Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan has long been known as one of the toughest grounds in Europe to get a goal as an away team. The hosts, for many years now, have prided themselves on having a strong defence on which to build upon and pick off teams as games progress. However, recent form is what you always have to look at when searching for value and the stats speak for themselves here; the Sevillistas have conceded in five of their last seven home games and in four of their last five overall fixtures too.

West Ham won’t be too happy regarding their recent results but they’ve been in quite decent goal-scoring form, scoring at least one in eight of their last 10 fixtures and in six of their last eight on their travels. Of course their form in the Europa League has been great and the Hammers have scored in five of their six games played so Both Teams to Score has to make the list here.

Michail Antonio to Score Anytime

One West Ham player we’d love to give the nod to here is Jarrod Bowen who has scored six in his last 10 appearances for the Irons however he’s been ruled out at the time of writing thanks to an ankle injury and won’t make an appearance. Michail Antonio then is going to be West Ham’s best chance of getting on the scoresheet here and his pace should cause quite a few problems for a Sevilla defence that has been more porous than usual of late.

The Jamaica international has nine goals over his 30 appearances in all competitions this season and will lead the line with Spain’s Pablo Fornals. With Declan Rice returning to the starting XI after a short illness, alongside Tomas Soucek and Manuel Lanzini to provide the ball to Antonio his blistering speed could cause some damage and the odds of him getting on the scoresheet have plenty of value on offer.

Sevilla Over 4.5 Corners

One short-odds option to sweeten this Bet Builder is looking at the stats for home corners. So far this season the home side have been averaging 4.8 corners per home La Liga game and over their last five home games have been averaging 5.2 corners per match. If we look at their European games this season we see they’ve been averaging 5.5 corners per home game and by playing it safe here and backing Over 4.5 Corners we’re adding a wee banker to our pick and bringing the total odds for our Bet Builder up.
