This week’s Monday night punt sees a Championship side guaranteed a place in the FA Cup Quarter Finals, as Nottingham Forest welcome Huddersfield Town to the City Ground.

Elsewhere, Spurs will try to bounce back from the cupset that they suffered at Middlesbrough as Frank Lampard’s Everton visit North London. Finally, in La Liga, Athletic Bilbao will look to continue their push for European qualification as bottom-of-the-table Levante take a trip to the Basque country.

19.30: Nottingham Forest v Huddersfield – BTTS and Draw

TV: ITV 4

Both sides are in the running for promotion from the Championship this season, and although Huddersfield are in great form at the moment, they face a tough task at the City Ground on Monday night. Forest’s fans have been in great voice under the lights in both FA Cup ties this season against Arsenal and Leicester – and expect that to continue here.

The Terriers haven’t lost in all competitions since November, and have picked up seven draws along the way; meanwhile Forest have drawn three times in their last four games, during a six-match unbeaten spell. This FA Cup clash has the look of a tie that could go the distance.

Huddersfield have failed to find the net in only three games of their current 18 match unbeaten spell, whilst Forest have bagged 19 since the turn of the year – including four against Leicester last time out in the cup.

Add to the mix that the winner will host Premier League giants Liverpool in the Quarter Finals, and this could be a very end-to-end affair. We think it will need 120 minutes and possibly penalties to separate these two sides.

20.00: Tottenham v Everton – Tottenham to win 2-1, 3-1 or 4-1

TV: Sky Sports Premier League

It’s fair to say that Spurs’ form has been erratic of late. Last month’s statement victory away at Man City was followed up by defeat at lowly Burnley, then the North London side were dumped out of the FA Cup by Championship side Middlesbrough after a big win at Leeds.

Antonio Conte will be demanding a response from his players, and Frank Lampard’s Everton have the look of easy prey. Although you would think Lamps will steer the Toffees away from the relegation zone before the end of the season, he’s won just once in the league as Everton boss. Spurs will be a tougher test than National League Boreham Wood, who made the Toffees work hard for their 2-0 win in the Cup on Thursday night.

Both teams have poor defensive records of late – Spurs and Everton have kept just two clean sheets each in all competitions since the turn of the year. Coupled with the genuine attacking talents of Harry Kane, Son Heung-Min & Richarlison, goals look to be on the cards.

We’re banking on just that, and backing a Spurs win, as Everton have the worst away record in the Premier League this season, having picked up just six points on the road. It could be a long trip back up the M1 on Monday night for the travelling Toffees fans.

20.00: Athletic Bilbao v Levante – Bilbao and Over 2.5 goals

TV: Premier Sports 2

Levante are in trouble. Seven points from safety, and rooted to the bottom of La Liga. They’re on their third manager of the season, a record only Watford can match in the Premier League. It’s only a recent slight upturn in form that has stopped them from giving Big Sam a call, apparently.

As for Bilbao, they’re chasing European qualification this season, and made it to the Copa del Rey semi finals – so on paper, this looks like a real mismatch.

The Basque club have picked up three wins in their last five League games; whilst Levante only picked up their first away win of the season in February – having collected just six points from their twelve games away from home in La Liga.

Bilbao have a strong record at home of late – since the turn of the year Athletic are unbeaten there; which includes the scalps of both Real Madrid and Barcelona in the Copa del Rey. Bilbao are also not shy of a goal too, with six in their last two league fixtures. When paired against the division’s leakiest defence in Levante, goals seem likely.
