19:45 Huddersfield vs Peterborough: Huddersfield to Win to Nil

Huddersfield are closing in on Bournemouth above them in second place in the Championship, indeed, the Terries are unbeaten over their last 17 games in all competitions. Over their five most recent fixtures in the league they have won three and drawn two, and can leapfrog the Cherries into second place with a win here. They’re odds-on to take the three points against Peterborough and are unbeaten over their last seven home Championship matches, winning three and drawing four.

The visitors are bottom of the pile in the league standings and have lost six of their last seven games in all competitions. Their last 10 away league games have seen them chalking up just one point with one draw and nine losses. They’ve only scored in three of those 10 away games. With that record and Huddersfield’s strong run, we fully expect that to continue and we’re getting very decent Win to Nil odds here.

19:45 Sheffield United vs Nottingham Forest: Sheffield United to Win

TV: Sky Sports Football

Both teams are still in the mix for the playoff places with United just a point behind Luton in sixth on 53 points and Forest two places behind them in ninth on 51 points. The visitors are in the better overall form but they very much have contrasting home vs away stats. The Blades have only lost one of their last 10 games while their Championship form has seen them winning two, drawing two and losing one. At Bramall Lane they’re unbeaten over their last seven fixtures in the league, winning four of their last five and drawing one.

Forest have also lost just one of their last 10 overall fixtures while their overall Championship form reads as two wins, two draws and one loss. Their away form has seen them winning two, drawing one and losing one. On their day both are capable of beating the other but what’s really standing out here is that the Blades have conceded no goals over their last seven home Championship games and Forest have scored just five over their last five away games; failing to score in two of them. The host’s steely defence should be the difference here, we’re backing them to win.

19:45 St Patrick’s Athletic vs Shamrock Rovers: Shamrock Rovers to Win

With three games played in the League of Ireland, defending champions Shamrock Rovers are already top of the pile with a perfect record so far. St Pat’s have won one and lost two over their three league games but will be out for revenge here after losing the FAI President’s Cup on penalties to Shamrock Rovers a week prior to the league beginning. However, Rovers have won this fixture in four of their last five visits and their flying start to the season is hard to argue with. Rovers to Win has the value here.

19:45 Inter vs Salernitana: Inter to Win & Both Teams to Score

TV: BT Sport 2

Inter and AC Milan played out a tense 0-0 midweek in the Coppa Italia. The home side will be eager to get back to winning ways here and swipe top spot in Serie A from Napoli. I Nerazzurri aren’t exactly in the best of shape form-wise, they’ve won none of their last five fixtures, drawing three and losing two while their last five in the league have seen them winning just one, drawing two and losing two. Their home Serie A form though is better with three wins and two losses.

Salernitana are this season’s Serie A whipping boys with just eight points collected from 12 away games and are winless over their five most recent league fixtures. On their league travels they’ve won one, drawn one and lost three of their last five. Inter are obviously short-odds to win here. However, a case has to be made for the visitors scoring. Inter have only kept one clean sheet over their last five Serie A games on home turf and the visitors have scored in all five of their most recent games and in four of their last six on the road. Inter to Win & Both Teams to Score has the value here.

20:00 Alaves vs Sevilla: Under 2.5 Goals

TV: La Liga TV

Real Madrid just cannot shake off Sevilla in second place and a win for the away side here will bring them to within three points of Los Blancos. Alaves though are playing for their skins, they’re on 21 points in second last position, a win would put them just one point behind Granada who are one place above the dropzone. The home side have won just one of their last five in La Liga while their home form has seen them winning one, drawing three and losing one.

Sevilla are unbeaten over their last 12 league encounters, winning two and drawing three of their last five and share the same record on their travels. We’d like to give the nod to the visitors here to heat up the title race but the fact is they’ve been drawing too many games of late and Alaves have shown they’ve a tough nut to crack at home. Neither side are scoring many; Alaves just four over their last five at home while Sevilla netted just four over their last five as well. The best pick is Under 2.5 goals here.
