20:00 West Brom v Swansea: Both Teams to Score

TV: Sky Sports Main Event

While they didn’t get the result they wanted, West Brom’s midweek loss to Middlesbrough did at least see them score their first goal since Steve Bruce’s appointment.

A singular goal in their last five outings and just four in their last eight makes for grim reading but they’ll take positives from the amount of chances they’ve created in that time. In fact, over their last eight league games they’ve mustered a hefty 104 shots on goals, something Bruce will no doubt see as a platform to build upon.

Swansea have struggled in front of goal, with only three sides having scored less in the division although they did, however, stick three past Bristol City a couple of weeks ago

Defensively, West Brom have conceded at least two goals in five of their last six while Swansea’s last two away trips have seen them ship four goals to Sheffield Utd and three to Stoke.

While we aren’t expecting an absolute goal-fest, West Brom’s ability to create openings and both sides’ porous defences suggests their will be chances at both ends.

We aren’t too confident of either side keeping a clean sheet here.

Both Teams to Score in this one.

19:45 Atalanta v Sampdoria: Atalanta to Win and Both Teams to Score

TV: BT Sport 1

Atalanta welcome Sampdoria to Bergamo looking to halt a run of five league games without a win.

In those five, they’ve succumbed to defeat twice, drawing three, and still find themselves in a healthy position in their quest for Champions League football.

They currently sit in 5th, six points behind Juventus in 4th but would leapfrog Max Allegri’s side were they to win both of their games in hand.

Sampdoria’s form has been somewhat inconsistent of late and, truth be told, has been all season.

They’ve won two and lost three of their last five league games and find themselves languishing perilously close to the relegation zone. They sit just three points and three places above the bottom three.

Atalanta haven’t quite hit their rampant goalscoring form of previous seasons after finishing as top scorers in the last three campaigns.

They’ve only scored twice in their last five league matches but did breeze past Olympiacos in the Europa League, putting three past their hosts in midweek to progress 5-1 on aggregate.

Sampdoria have racked up seven goals in their last five in the league, including a 2-0 win over Empoli and a 4-0 drubbing of Sassuolo.

They do leak goals at the other end, though, managing just two clean sheets in their last 15 in all competitions.

Despite Atalanta’s indifferent league form, their midweek dispatch of Olympiacos should have clicked them into gear and we’re expecting them to win here to keep the pressure on Juventus in the hunt for a Champions League spot.

We think Sampdoria have enough to trouble them slightly, though, and could pose a threat after six goals in their last three games.

Atalanta to Win and Both Teams to Score seems a good bet.

20.00: Granada v Cadiz: Draw and Under 2.5 Goals

TV: La Liga TV

Grenada host Cadiz in the midst of a woeful run of form which has seen them slide dangerously close to the drop zone. They’ve lost their last five league games on the bounce and have won just once in their last eight.

They’ve particularly struggled in front of goal, drawing blanks in three of their last four in the league.

While Cadiz still find themselves four points from safety and with an almighty task on their hands to avoid relegation, they do come here with a decent run of form behind them.

They’ve lost only once in their last five in the league, winning one and drawing three, offering faint hope of an unlikely escape.

Despite being away from home, Cadiz will be quietly confident of getting something from this game after draws with Getafe and Celta and with their opponents plummeting like a stone.

It might not be the most free-flowing encounter, however, so we’re going with Draw and Under 2.5 goals.
