We landed three correct legs in Tuesday’s footy acca tips column – with the fourth game called off due to the poor weather. I hope some of you were still collecting your winnings from a treble, though!

Now, for Friday’s football acca we’ve gone deep into the stats to find some value in the markets for the Premier League, Ligue 1, Serie A and La Liga games on offer. Plenty to get stuck into here so let’s get straight into it – kicking us off we have Southampton taking on bottom-of-the-table Norwich at St Mary’s.

20:00 – Southampton vs Norwich: Southampton to Win & Both Teams to Score

TV: Sky Sports Main Event

The Saints come into this Premier League clash in pretty robust form. Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side have lost just one of their last 10 fixtures in all competitions and are also unbeaten over their last 10 on home soil. Over their last five home Premier League games they’ve won two and drawn three, scoring nine and conceding four. Both Teams to Score has landed in four of those five games.

Norwich haven’t won any of their last three games (one draw and two losses) but had won all three of their fixtures prior. Their overall away form looks impressive with three wins and two losses but two of those games were FA Cup victories against Charlton Athletic and Wolves. Their away Premier League form is muck with just one win and four losses in their last five on the road.

Over their recent form though they’ve won two, drawn one and lost two, scoring six goals and conceding eight. The hosts obviously have the superior form of the two here but their leaky defence against a Norwich side, who have been scoring a decent amount of late, isn’t likely to emerge unscathed here.

We’re going for some decent value odds here with Southampton to Win & Both Teams to Score.

20:00 – Montpellier vs Rennes: Both Teams to Score

TV: BT Sport ESPN

Montpellier’s Ligue 1 form has seen them win two of their last five, losing the other three. Meanwhile, Rennes have won three and lost two of their last five in the league. Rennes are favourites to take the three points here but Montpellier’s home form is pretty decent with three wins and two losses over their last five at the Stade de la Mosson, scoring eight and conceding five.

Rennes, though, have lost four of their last five on their league travels, winning just one. The hosts have been averaging 1.69 goals per home league game this season while Rennes have been scoring 1.33 on the road.

While the market is expecting the away side to take the three points here the better bet is in backing Both Teams to Score for this one.

20:00 – Genoa vs Inter: Inter to Win to Nil

TV: BT Sport 2

Napoli squandered a golden opportunity to take top spot in the Serie A on Monday with a 1-1 draw away to Cagliari. Going into this game the table stands as AC Milan on 56 points with Inter and Napoli on 54. Milan face Udinese at home in the earlier kick-off and if things don’t go well for Rossoneri, Inter could return to the top of the summit here.

Genoa aren’t in good form and their Serie A days look numbered, they’ve drawn four of their last five in the league, losing one but only scored two goals over those five. On home soil they’ve lost two and drawn three, again scoring just two goals.

Inter’s league form isn’t exactly stellar with one win, two draws and two losses but their away Serie A form has seen them going seven games unbeaten, winning three of their last five, drawing two and keeping three clean sheets. I Nerazzurri are short odds to take the three points here and in facing a side struggling for goals we’re going for the value price of Inter to Win to Nil.

20:00 – Levante vs Elche: Elche Win or Draw

TV: La Liga TV

Being five points behind the other sides in the relegation zone, Alaves and Cadiz, Levante’s chances of La Liga survival are growing dimmer and dimmer by the day. The hosts have won just two of their last 10 in La Liga and of their last five they’ve won one, drawn one and lost three, sharing the same record over their games at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia.

Elche’s La Liga form has improved of late, they’ve now won three of their last five, drawing one and losing one, scoring eight and conceding six. Their away form isn’t the best but this recent run of form up against La Liga’s worst side shouldn’t see them getting beaten here. We’re opposing the home side then and backing the visitors on the Double Chance.
