Oh what a day of football Sunday is going to be. In this article we’ve taken the best of the televised fixtures and gone looking for value in the markets to find the best bets. Let’s keep the intro short then as we have six massive games to get through. Kicking us off we have Rangers’ trip to Dundee United at midday.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS

Dundee United v Rangers: Both Teams to Score

Kick-off: 12pm
Sky Sports Main Event

The Terrors have won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five fixtures. However, their home Premiership form has seen them win two and lose three, scoring six and conceding seven. Along with Celtic, they’re the only other team to have beaten Rangers this season, a 1-0 win here in early August and have a decent record against them on home turf, winning three of the last five meetings, losing the other two.

Rangers have won four of their last five games in all competitions and will be flying high after their stunning 4-2 victory away to Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League. Their away Premiership form isn’t mighty though, winning two of their last five, drawing two and losing one, scoring seven and conceding seven. Hard to argue with Dundee’s home scoring record and Rangers have only kept two clean sheets over their last eight on their league travels. The value here is in backing Both Teams to Score.

Celtic v Dundee: Celtic to Win 1-0, 2-0 or 3-0

Kick-off: 3pm
Celtic TV

Celtic were the dominant side against Bodo/Glimt in their midweek Europa Conference League game but came away 1-3 losers. Other than this loss though, the Bhoys have been in terrific form, winning nine of their last 10 in all competitions, keeping five clean sheets in the process. On home soil they’ve won five games in-a-row in the league where they’ve scored eight and conceded none. Dundee’s away form has seen them losing three, drawing and winning one but have only scored in just two of those five. They’ve failed to score in four of their last five visits to Celtic Park and with the home side keeping so many clean sheets we’re going with Celtic to Win 1-0, 2-0 or 3-0.

Valencia v Barcelona: Draw

Kick-off: 3.15pm
La Liga TV

Barcelona will still feel aggrieved having not beaten Napoli in the Europa League in midweek having dominated the game but their slow-to-react, and ageing, defence yet again let them down. The Catalans have won two of their last five fixtures, drawing three, losing one in extra time. In their last five away La Liga games they’re undefeated, winning two and drawing three.

Valencia’s league form is muck with three losses and two draws over their last five games. However, at the Estadio de Mestalla it’s better where they’ve won one, drawn three and lost one. The visitors have a busy treatment table and the home side have a decent record at home to Barca, having won one, drawn two and lost two over their last five meetings. This one is going to be a tough ask for Barcelona and with six draws between their last 10 combined league home/away for the sides we think there’s some great value in backing it to end all square here.

England W v Spain W: Over 2.5 Goals

Kick-off: 3.15pm
ITV

England, Germany, Spain and Canada take part in the Arnold Clark Cup which continues on Sunday. In the opening round of games, England drew 1-1 with Canada and Germany also drew 1-1 with Spain. Both sides here come into this game in great form having won four of their last five, drawing the other one. England have scored a mammoth 36 goals while conceding just one with Spain scoring 28 while conceding just one as well. With stats like that we have to go with goals here and with both teams going to be searching for the win after their first game draws we should see fireworks. We’re looking at Over 2.5 goals here.

Bordeaux v Monaco: Monaco to Win & Over 1.5 Goals

Kick-off: 4.05pm
BT Sport 3

Bordeaux are in awful shape coming into this one and Monaco are odds-on with the market. The home side have lost four of their last five, winning the other and their home form isn’t much better with one win, one draw and three losses, scoring nine and conceding 11. Monaco have won three of their last five in all competitions, drawing and losing one apiece. Their away Ligue 1 form isn’t great though, they’ve won just one of their last five on their travels, drawing two and losing two, scoring five goals and conceding six.

A further illustration of just how bad Bordeaux have been of late is that they’ve now conceded 18 goals over their last five league meetings and Monaco could run riot here. Overs has landed in four of the last five meetings between the sides at the Stade Matmut-Atlantique and with that leaky defence we’re looking at Monaco to Win and Over 1.5 Goals.

Inter vs Sassuolo: Inter to Win & Both teams to score

Kick-off: 5pm
BT Sport 2

Inter created a ton of chances against Liverpool in their 0-2 loss midweek but Jurgen Klopp’s substitutions completely changed the game in the second half and they were left wondering how they messed it up at full time. Their recent form has seen them winning two, drawing one and losing one but their home league form is very good with four wins and one loss with 10 goals scored and four conceded.

Sassuolo have won just one of their last five in all competitions while their away Serie A form has seen them winning one, drawing three and losing one, scoring 10 and conceding 10 as well. With those scoring records we have to add a BTTS into the mix here but with a record of eight home wins from 13 Serie A games at the San Siro we have to side with the Nerazzurri. The value here then is Inter to Win & BTTS.
