Paddy Power ambassador Phil Thompson has laced up his boots and is limbering up ahead of another busy midweek in the Premier League. Here, he’s running the rule over Aston Villa v Leeds on Wednesday night with both sides in pretty weak form.
WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
Villa’s win last time out was their first in five while Leeds have won just two of their last eight in all competitions. Thommo’s picked a winner in this one, though, so let’s take a look at his Aston Villa v Leeds tips.
Wednesday 8pm: Aston Villa v Leeds

Last time Villa played they enjoyed a nice victory for Steven Gerrard at Goodison Park. His record now is won five, drawn one, lost four but it was a good win against Everton which will give them a big boost.
Philippe Coutinho’s in there and he’ll be better for more training sessions so everything is looking decidedly good for them.
For Leeds, getting beat by Newcastle will hurt because they won two on the trot before that, which doesn’t happen too often. I was looking at goal scorers for them but I just don’t fancy them.
Jack Harrison has scored four in their last three games which is not bad but I don’t have them on the scoreboard this time, I think Villa are going to keep a clean sheet. I’ve got Villa to win this 2-0. If you want a goal scorer, I fancy Danny Ings to Score Anytime.
