Sunday is lining up to be a fantastic day of football, we’ve gone through everything on offer and found a feisty four-fold Acca filled to the brim with value from the evening games. We’ll be off to La Liga where Real Madrid host Granada, in Italy Juventus are home to Verona while Lille entertain PSG at the same time in France. First though to the Final of the African Cup of Nations where favourites Senegal face Egypt.

19.00: Senegal v Egypt – Egypt to Score Under 0.5 Goals

TV: BBC3/ Sky Sports Main Event

Senegal have now gone twelve games without defeat. Over their six tournament games they’ve won four and drawn two, scoring nine and conceding two. They didn’t exactly hit the ground running in the Group Stage games, scoring just a solitary goal but have certainly improved since, scoring eight over their three knockout games.

Egypt have won two of their six tournament matches, drawing three, winning two on penalties and one in Extra Time and lost their opening Group Stage game. They’ve only scored two goals in normal time over their six games, scoring another in the additional 30 minutes against Morocco. They’re obviously a defensive side, and will mark out the trenches early here and dig in, trying to pick off the Lions of Teranga on the break or if it’s 0-0 around the 70th minute mark they’ll do their best to take it to penalties.

Senegal are decent at the back too, keeping four clean sheets over their six games. Most neutrals will be egging on Senegal here, they’ve been exciting to watch and Egypt are basically Burnley with nicer shirts. With the Pharaohs really struggling for goals and the favourites being sturdy at the back we’re liking the value odds here for Egypt to Score Under 0.5 Goals.

19.45: Lille v PSG – Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals

TV: BT Sport 3

The defending champions aren’t in great shape coming into their clash with the league leaders here – they’ve won two of their last five in all competitions, drawing two (losing one on penalties) and losing two. In the league they’ve won two, drawn two and lost one while their home form has seen them win two and draw three, scoring seven and conceding four.

PSG have won three and drawn two (losing one on penalties) over their last five in all competitions. In the league they’ve won three and drawn two and on their league trips have won two and drawn three, scoring nine and conceding six. Both teams are in good goal-scoring form, Lille have scored seven over their last five in the league with PSG bagging 10 over the same period. Both Teams to Score looks almost a cert but with both in such good scoring form we can add Overs into the mix for some very decent value odds.

19.45: Juventus v Verona – Juventus to Win and Over 1.5 Goals

TV: BT Sport 1

Juventus have won three and drawn two (losing one in extra-time) of their last five in all competitions. Their Serie A form has seen them going nine matches without defeat and at the Juventus Stadium they’ve won three of their last five, drawing one and losing one, scoring seven and conceding just two. Over their last 10 visits to Turin to take on the Old Lady, Verona have only come away with one point from a possible 30. The away side are in decent overall form though, winning three, drawing one and losing one and their away form is quite good too, winning three and losing two, scoring 11 and conceding 10.

Juve have won three of their last five at home 2-0 and with Verona showing such great goal-scoring form they could draw some claret here. However, that home defence is returning to its best and they may well keep the Gialloblu quiet so we’re taking a wee bit of cover here and backing Juventus to Win and Over 1.5 Goals.

20.00: Real Madrid v Granada – Real Madrid to Win to Nil

Real Madrid were toothless in their Copa del Rey quarter final loss to Athletic Bilbao midweek and manager Carlo Ancellotti had a face like a wet Sunday at full time. Real are four points above Sevilla at the top of the La Liga table and need a win here to keep them at bay. Their La Liga form has seen them winning two, drawing two and losing one over their last five while at the Santiago Bernabeu they’ve won three and drawn two over their last five, scoring nine and conceding just three.

Granada have won just one of their last five, drawing two and losing two and share the same record over their last five league outings as well. The away side have failed to score in five of their last seven visits to Los Blancos and with the hosts keeping so many clean sheets at home in the league of late we’re getting some good value here for Real to Win to Nil.
