For Friday night’s football Acca we’ve found four of the best fixtures where there’s plenty of value to be feasted upon. We’ll be off to La Liga where Getafe and Levante face off in a relegation six-pointer. In France, Marseille face Anger with a chance of taking second place from Nice. In England Man United entertain Middlesbrough at Old Trafford in the FA Cup and kicking us off Birmingham City host Sheffield United in the Championship.

7.45pm: Birmingham vs Sheffield United – Both Teams to Score, No Draw

TV: Sky Sports Football

Birmingham’s overall Championship form isn’t the best of late although they’re scoring a decent amount. Blues have won just one of their last five in the league, drawing three and losing one, scoring at least two goals in four of those five games. At St Andrew’s things are a wee bit better where they’ve won two, drawn two and lost one, scoring eight and conceding seven with Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 goals occurring in four of those five matches.

Sheffield United have won three of their last five in the league, drawing and losing one apiece. On their away trips they share the same record and have scored eight and conceded six. With both teams in good scoring shape we’d have to look at BTTS here but we can add some extra value to it. The hosts have only drawn four home games this season and the Blades share the same record on their league excursions meaning there’s only been eight draws over their 29 combined Championship games. BTTS No Draw has a great price armed with those stats.

8pm: Man United vs Middlesbrough – Both Teams to Score

TV: ITV/ STV

Manchester United obviously come into this one as short-odds favourites, the Red Devils have won three of their last five in all competitions, drawing one and losing one. At Old Trafford they share the same record, scoring six and conceding three. Middlesbrough are actually in the better form of the two, winning four of their last five games, losing the other one and over their last five on the road have won three, drawn one and lost one, scoring seven and conceding five.

Boro have little to fear here, they’ve in great form of late and we all know just how inconsistent United have been this season and the visitors should get on the scoresheet, especially as the hosts have only kept three clean sheets over their last nine in all competitions, while the travelling side have scored in seven over their last nine. Both Teams to Score has the best value here.

8pm: Marseille vs Angers – Marseille to Win and Over 1.5 Goals

TV: BT Sport 3

Marseille missed a golden opportunity to overtake second-place Nice midweek losing in their rescheduled game against Lyon. They’re in decent overall form, winning two of their last five, drawing two (winning one on penalties) and losing one. On home turf they’ve won two and drawn three (winning one on penalties). Angers have won just one of their last five, drawing one and losing three and over their last 10 visits to the Stade Velodrome have only come away with the spoils on two occasions and the most recent win was back in 2015.

Marseille should take the three points here and overtake Nice but Angers have been scoring a decent amount of late and the home side don’t keep many clean sheets so the visitors could draw some blood. Let’s cover ourselves a little though in case they don’t – we’re backing Marseille to Win and Over 1.5 Goals for this one.

8pm: Getafe vs Levante – Getafe to Win

TV: Premier Sports 2

Getafe come into this La Liga clash in far better shape than their opponents having won three of their last five, drawing and losing one each while Levante have won just one of their last five, drawing one (losing it on penalties) and losing three. The Azulones are in mighty home form too, winning five of their last six La Liga fixtures at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez, drawing the other one.

The away side have lost all five of their most recent away La Liga encounters and while their scoring record of eight goals over those five games is decent, they conceded 19, the fact is the hosts have, by far, the superior stats. We’re looking at a home win here.
