Our tipster Colin Harvey serves up a Friday night treat in the Championship.

While Fulham are rampaging around ripping The Championship to pieces, there’s 23 teams going about their business in a more conventional manner. Well, 22 if you take this season’s crisis club Derby out of that list.

Two of the more steady sides in the division meet on Friday night as Stoke head to Huddersfield. Both have promotion ambitions, though The Terriers’ look more realistic at this stage.

Town are 6th in the second tier while The Potters are down to 11th off a bad run that’s left them six points behind their opponents here who occupy the final playoff spot.

This isn’t your traditional six pointer, what with the six point gap already being in place and all. Maybe it’s a nine-pointer? Or a three pointer? One thing’s for sure, this is a bold Bet Builder for Friday’s game on the telly.

Huddersfield to Win

Given the form lines of the two teams involved here I can’t believe the price we’re getting on the Huddersfield Win. The Terriers have now gone nine games without defeat in all competitions, winning five of those, including an FA Cup clash with Premier League Burnley.

Stoke, on the other hand, have won three of their last 10, one of which came against League Two’s Leyton Orient. They’ve also lost six and drawn one in that run. This looks to be two teams going in opposing directions and Huddersfield can widen the gap with a Home Win.

Both Teams to Score

While Stoke haven’t been getting the results they want they have still been scoring on a regular basis. They’ve netted in six of their last eight matches and generally they’ve just been missing out on vital points by the odd goal.

Huddersfield have also been scoring regularly but it’s their defence which could prove to be their Achilles heel as the season heats up. They’ve conceded in nine of their last 11. With both teams good going forward and porous at the back we should see Both Teams Scoring in this one.

Over 2.5 Goals

Given the lack of stability at the back and firepower going forward I’d be very surprised if we didn’t get Over 2.5 Goals in this one. This has clicked in four of Huddersfield’s last seven and three of Stoke’s last six.

In the home side’s last seven games there’s been 23 goals at an average of 3.3 per game. Stoke are more reserved with 16 over their last six but that still sees us sneak past the Over 2.5 Goals target with their average of 2.7 goals per game.

Danny Ward to Score First

It often pays to look for the in-form man in the goal scorer markets and you’ll fine no one in finer fettle than Huddersfield’s Danny Ward. He’s Town’s top scorer this term with 10 to his name – four more than anyone else who’ll be involved on Friday night.

Not only is he Huddersfield’s top scorer but he rattled off a hat-trick in their thrilling 4-3 win over Reading last time out. It’s not rocket science, this pick, but Danny Ward to Score First is your best bet in this sphere.
