For Thursday’s football we have quite the mix of football from all across the world. First up we’re taking a look at Arsenal taking on Brighton in the Women’s Super League where they can open up a five-point gap at the summit of the league with a win.

Later in the night we have three mouth-watering World Cup Qualifiers from South America where Ecuador host Brazil, Paraguay entertain Uruguay and Chile face Copa America winners Argentina. Time to roll up those sleeves then and find some value in the markets.

19.30: Arsenal v Brighton – Arsenal to Win to Nil

Arsenal’s overall form doesn’t look the best of late, they’ve won just one of their last five in all competitions, drawing one and losing three in all competitions. Their league form is much better though where they’ve won two, drawn two and lost one. At Meadow Park things are far, far better; they’re unbeaten over their last nine on home turf and have won all five of their most recent in a row, scoring 19 and conceding just two, keeping four clean sheets.

Brighton have been in terrible form of late, winning none of their last seven games in all competitions. In the league the Seagulls have lost four and drawn one of their last five, scoring no goals and conceding 11. The Gunners are very short odds here but in facing a side that are struggling to hit the target we think there’s great value in here backing them to Win to Nil.

21.00: Ecuador v Brazil – Vinicius Junior to Score Anytime

Brazil are already assured of their place in this year’s World Cup and Ecuador are six points ahead of both Columbia and Peru behind them in the final qualifying places, so, they can afford to lose here and even if they lose to Peru next week they should still get into the Playoffs thanks to their positive goal difference. Basically then, Ecuador need a draw from two games to be sure of their spot in Qatar in November.

There’s seemingly no doubt then that they’ll sit back and play for a draw against a Brazil side without the injured Neymar and Liverpool’s Robert Firmino who was left out of the squad. However, Vinicius Junior will start. The youngster has 15 goals over 30 Real Madrid appearances this season and Leeds United’s Raphinha should feature too. Man City’s Gabriel Jesus will lead the line but he’s not great at scoring, he’s bagged just two for City in 15 appearances in the league and only two over his last 19 for the Selecao. With Vinicius Junior in such mighty form, we’re going with him to Score Anytime here.

23.00: Paraguay v Uruguay – Both Teams to Score: No

Paraguay need to win both of their remaining games, and the final one is against Brazil, to stand any hope of qualifying. Uruguay though are still in with a shout, if they win both of their remaining games. At 22 points they might just scrap through to the Playoffs. However, the away side are in awful form, they’ve won none of their last five matches, losing four and drawing one. The hosts aren’t much better, they’ve drawn two of their last five, losing the other three.

At home they’ve won two, drawn two and lost one while La Celeste have won just one of their last five away games, drawing one and losing three. Los Guaranies have gone five games without a single goal now and the travelling side have scored just four over their last five. With goals in short supply this one has ‘cagey’ written all over it. We’re going with Both Teams to Score: No for this one.

Friday 00.15: Chile v Argentina – Argentina Draw No Bet

Chile are just a point behind Peru who occupy the only Playoff place in the standings. A win could possibly push them up to fourth ahead of a final day clash away to Bolivia. Argentina are already through but besides not bringing Lionel Messi with them have named a full-strength squad for this encounter.

The hosts have won three of their last five games in all competitions, drawing one and losing one while on home soil they’ve fared worse, winning just two of their last five, losing the other three. The visitors have won three and drawn two over their five most recent games and share the same record over their last five away games (not including ‘away’ Copa America matches). It’s hard to see Argentina losing here, they’ve now gone 27 games undefeated and while the odds on an away win certainly suggest they’ll be in for a tough battle, we’re taking some insurance and backing them in the Draw No Bet market.
