Tuesday’s going to be a very busy night of football and we’ve gone through the best of the football fixtures on offer to find a feisty five-fold acca that’s full of value. We’ll be checking out three matches from the Championship, one from the Scottish Premiership and a Portuguese League Cup semi final. Let’s have a look then at what we’ve turned up.

19.45: Coventry v Stoke – Both Teams to Score

In tenth and ninth position respectively both sides can cut the distance on the playoff places with a valuable three points here. Both sides though have won just two of their last five in all competitions. Looking at league form it’s actually worse for both teams – Coventry have won just one of their last five, drawing one and losing three. Stoke share the same record.

The Sky Blues also share that record at home while the Potters have actually won four of their last five on their league outings, losing the other one. You’d like to give the away side the nod based on that but their overall form makes it untrustworthy. The sides have scored seven and six goals over their last five Championship games respectively, conceding seven each. With those stats, Both Teams to Score is the soundest option here.

19.45: Nottingham Forest v Barnsley – Forest to Win & Over 1.5 Goals

Forest have won three of their last five in all competitions, losing the other two while in the Championship share the same record. At home, it’s one better with three wins, one draw and one loss over their last five. Barnsley have won just one of their last five in all, drawing two (winning one in extra-time) and losing two. In the league they’ve gone nine without a win and over their last five away games have lost four and drawn one.

Forest have scored at least two goals in four of their last six at home and with the visitors on such a bad run that should continue. The Tykes though have scored in four of their last five on their travels so let’s take some cover and back Forest to Win and Over 1.5 Goals.

19.45: QPR v Swansea – QPR to Win

QPR are in strong form of late, winning four of their last five and drawing the other one (winning it on penalties). In the Championship they’ve won four of their last five, losing the other and at Loftus Road have won three and drawn two of their last five. Swansea have won just one of their last five in all competitions, drawing two (losing one in ET) and losing two.

In the league they’ve also won just one, drawing one and losing three while on their Championship excursions have won two, drawn one and lost two. QPR have the superior form here and at above Evens represent very good value.

19.45: St Mirren v Aberdeen – Aberdeen to Win

St Mirren have won two of their last five in all competitions, drawing two and losing one while in the Premiership have won just one, drawing two and losing two. On home turf they’ve been tough to beat but haven’t been winning matches, drawing four and losing one of their last five at St Mirren Park. Aberdeen have won three, drawn one and lost one over their last five while in the Premiership boast the same record. Their away form isn’t great though with one win, one draw and three losses over their last five.

However, stats can be a bit deceptive at times and the Dons haven’t played an away league game since the turn of the year, a period which has seen them win two and draw one over their three games played since then. The home side are struggling for goals too, scoring just three goals over their last four in the league and just two over their last four at home. We have to go with the visitors here based on recent stats.

19.45: Benfica v Boavista – Benfica to Win and Over 2.5 Goals

Benfica are pretty much out of the reckoning for this season’s league campaign so the cup represents their best shot at silverware. Overcome Boavista here and they’ll face either Sporting or Santa Clara, so, yea, Sporting. On home soil Benfica are in great form, winning four of their last five, drawing the other one, scoring 15 and conceding just two.

Boavista have drawn four of their last five games, winning the other but they don’t travel well at all. Over their last five on the road they’ve lost three and drawn two and over their last 10 visits to Benfica have been beaten eight times, drawing twice. There’s little doubt here that the home side will advance but Boavista are rarely kept scoreless, just once over their last 10 games in all competitions so don’t be surprised if they draw some blood here. Benfica’s home scoring record is ridiculously good though so we’re going with the hosts to win and Over 2.5 goals here.
