Our footie tipster Andrew Cunneen has a fab foursome in mind.

The FA Cup is my favourite competition in the world. Genuinely. I learn more and more about the market towns of England as I go, as well as seeing grounds that I otherwise wouldn’t notice in a million years.

That, and you get to really judge which clubs actually respect English tradition. When questioned, everyone talks about how incredible the competition is just because it’s old.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Well your Gran is old and you never pop around to see her now do you? In truth nobody cares inside the top table but finding the balance between being blunt about it trying to hide it is always fun to watch.

You can also tell who voted for Brexit by asking them about the FA Cup. True to form, the purists will tell you the ‘world’s oldest cup competition is what makes England marvellous, and not that wretched old Champions League’.

Even in football, they’re Euro-deniers. But there’s always one side over-extending to be coy that end up getting caught out. I’ve a little acca here that should both land us a few quid and a couple of managers in very hot water for their temporary embarrassment.

Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the FA Cup Third Round.

2pm: Charlton v Norwich – Norwich to Win

I often worry about punting teams away from home in the Cup in this type of situation because they frequently overlook it and focus on the task at hand.

But two things apply here: Norwich don’t have the squad with which to rest players and the second thing being a bit of confidence is exactly what they need now that the gap to Watford is only three points.

Not all sides facing the drop are blessed with a natural goalscorer like Teemu Pukki, so even if they went half-arsed, the likelihood is that he finds the net anyway.

2pm: West Ham v Leeds – Leeds and the Draw

Leeds are the dream scenario. A Premier League side with some real gems in their squad that need a win to keep momentum going due to their previously horrendous run of form coming up against a team who have a squad big enough to rest players due to their in-season fixture demands and bigger conquests.

West Ham are no giants, but they’ll have to discard lesser endeavours to claim a spot among the big boys. Call it a casualty of war.

2pm: Liverpool v Shrewsbury – Shrewsbury and the Draw

You were definitely looking at the price of this multiple and wondering where the big leg was after playing it safe with the first two. Well honey, I’m home. And before you go off on one, listen to me.

Liverpool’s ‘mentality monsters’ haven’t got past the fifth round under Klopp yet. In order, they’ve been dumped out by a putrid West Ham side; were held by Plymouth; beaten at home by West Brom; beaten by Wolves; held by this very Shrewsbury side and dumped out by Ole’s Man United.

2pm: Tottenham v Morecambe – Under 4.5 Goals

This is more of a padding leg, but my point here is that Spurs won’t dress up a result like this because Conte is currently at war with the board over squad depth.

If he goes and rests players here and still puts up five goals, he’s actually hurting his own case. Expect a droll advancement into the fourth round for Spurs.

Sunday’s acca:

2pm: Charlton v Norwich – Norwich to Win
2pm: West Ham v Leeds – Leeds and the Draw
2pm: Liverpool v Shrewsbury – Shrewsbury and the Draw
2pm: Tottenham v Morecambe – Under 4.5 Goals
