Thursday’s football accumulator sees us searching for some value in the Premier League where Man United host Burnley and the Championship where leaders Bournemouth host Cardiff and Nottingham Forest face Huddersfield. Finally, then we have a huge match from the Portuguese Primeira Liga, where leaders Porto take on Benfica.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

19:45 Bournemouth v Cardiff: Over 2.5 Goals

Bournemouth’s form isn’t as good as you’d expect a table-topping team to be. The Cherries have won just one of their last five in the league. On home soil things are slightly better, where they’ve been victorious twice of their previous five outings. Meanwhile, four of those five matches saw the Over 2.5 Goals bet occur.

Cardiff have won two, drawn one and lost two over their five most recent Championship fixtures. On their league travels they’ve won two, drawn two and lost one – with Overs being seen in four of those games as well. Both sides have scored 10 and nine goals respectively over their last five home/away games and we’re liking the price here for Over 2.5 Goals.

19:45 Nottingham Forest v Huddersfield: Under 2.5 Goals

Both teams come into this clash in decent form, Forest have won three of their last five, while their home form at the City Ground has seen them go undefeated in five. Huddersfield have won two, drawn two and lost one over their last five in the Championship. Meanwhile, away from home, they’ve only won one of their last eight.

Forest have kept three clean sheets over their last five at home and we’ve seen under 2.5 goals in three of those five as well. Unders was also came up in three of the Terriers’ last five as well and with the teams averaging just 1.17 and 1.08 goals over their respective home/away games we should be looking at Unders again here.

Ralf Rangnick

20:15 Man United v Burnley: Man United To Win & Both Teams To Score

United are still yet to lose under Ralf Rangnick, although their performance against Newcastle on Monday night was far from efficient and was a good reminder of the work he has to do at Carrington. Their results though are good and that’s the important factor, winning three of their last five in all competitions – sharing the same stat over their last five Premier League games.

Burnley aren’t having the best of Decembers, but there’s something about Sean Dyche’s side that loves taking on United on the road. Over their last five visits to Old Trafford they’ve won one, drawn three and lost one – scoring a total of seven and conceding seven.

Under their new German manager, The Red Devils have only kept two clean sheets over his six games and one of them was against Norwich. United’s leaky defence mixed with Burnley’s Old Trafford record should see them scoring here. But, roared on by a home crowd, the hosts should have more than enough to take the three points on offer.

21:00 Porto v Benfica: Both Teams To Score & Over 2.5 Goals

It’s neck-and-neck between Porto and Sporting at the top of the Primeira Liga and after beating Benfica 3-0 in the cup a week ago, Sergio Conceicao’s side are going to come into this one confident of taking the points.

Of course, this is O Classico and the away side will be hurting after their pre-Christmas pasting at the hands of their old rivals. Benfica’s away league form has seen them going unbeaten over their last 10 league outings, winning nine and drawing one. For their part, Porto have won all five of their most recent home league matches.

Porto have netted 14 over their last five at home in the league, while Benfica have scored 16 over their respective five most recent away games. With those stats, we’re going with Both Teams To Score and Overs to land here.
