While a couple of Premier League games penciled in for December 28th have had to be cancelled there’s still plenty of meat left on the bones to get stuck into. Not turkey meat though, we’re all sick of turkey meat.

Boxing Day was a cracking day of festive football where the six games produced 4.67 goals on average. We see that trend continuing on Tuesday so we’ve gone looking for value in the Overs/Unders markets. Let’s have a look then at the plays I’ve found.

3pm: Crystal Palace vs Norwich – Under 2.5 Goals

Amazon Prime Video

Crystal Palace were handed a tough lesson from Spurs on Sunday last thanks to a 3-0 hiding. To make matters worse Wilfried Zaha was sent off for a second yellow in the first half and he’ll have to sit this one out. Norwich have now gone six matches without a win, losing four and drawing two.

At Selhurst Park the Eagles have been flying a bit more majestically, winning two of their last five, drawing two and losing one while Norwich have won one of their last five on their Premier League travels, drawing two and losing two. Both Teams to Score has landed in four of Palace’s last five at home but in just two of the Canaries’ last five away league games.

Over 2.5 goals has occurred in three of the last five games for both sides over their home/away games however, we should be cautious here, both teams will be missing a few players thanks to you-know-what and Palace always struggle for goals when Zaha is absent.

The hosts have scored nine over their last five at home and just five over their last five in the league. Norwich have scored just one goal over their last five games in the league and three over their last five on the road. We’re looking at Unders here.

3pm: Southampton vs Spurs – Over 2.5 Goals

Amazon Prime Video

Southampton have drawn three matches from winning positions over their five most recent games. Winning one and losing one of the other two. On home turf at St Mary’s they’ve won two of their last five, drawing the other three with Both Teams to Score landing in three and Over 2.5 goals in two. Spurs have been steadily improving under Antonio Conte and have won three of their last five in all competitions, drawing one and losing one.

Their Premier League form is even better with four wins over their last five and one draw, scoring a very healthy 12 goals over those five games. The Saints have netted seven over their last five at home and with both sides in robust goal-scoring form the value is in the Overs side of the market here.

3pm: Watford vs West Ham – Over 2.5 Goals

Amazon Prime Video

Both teams come into this one looking a little worse for wear. The home side have won just one of their last five league games, losing the other four, while the Hammers are winless over their five most previous games in all competitions. In the Premier League things are better for David Moyes’ side though, where they’ve won one of their last five, drawing two and losing two, scoring six and conceding eight.

Watford’s home form has also seen them winning just one of their last five, losing the other four with Over 2.5 goals landing in four of those games where they scored six and conceded 12. West Ham have scored five over their last five away league games, conceding six.

The home side will be raring to go here, having not played since December 10th, but that leaky defence won’t be quickly fixed. Both should score with those records and it’s hard not to see a third being scored as well. We’re going with Overs for this one.

8pm: Leicester vs Liverpool – Over 3.5 Goals

Amazon Prime Video

These sides meet for a second time in six days. That one ended with Liverpool going through on penalties after the ninety minutes finished 3-3. Leicester’s form doesn’t make for great reading, the home side have won just one of their last five in all competitions, drawing one (losing it on penalties) and losing one. Both Teams to Score landing in four of those five games with Overs being witnessed in all five.

At the King Power, their league form has seen them winning three and losing two over their last five with Overs landing in four and Over 3.5 goals occurring in three. Liverpool have won three and drawn two of their last five (winning one on penalties) in all competitions while in the Premier League they’ve won four of their last five, drawing the other.

Away from home they’ve won three, drawn one and lost one with Overs landing in four and Over 3.5 goals also landing in four. This one has the making of a belter, Liverpool will have a pretty-much full-strength side here and Leicester have scored 14 over their last five in the league. Over 3.5 goals has the value here.
