It’s a Sunday to savour and, as always, there’s plenty of football about to see us through to the Christmas jamboree and beyond. This Sunday I’ll guide you through the evening and into the night with action from Turkey, Portugal, Italy and Spain.

It’s a pre-Christmas serving of Turkey up first with Fenerbahce v Besiktas at 4pm before Vizela host Porto in the Primiera Liga. AC Milan and Napoli go at it in Serie A and Real Madrid tackle Cadiz to round us off. So, here’s a festive four fold for Sunday’s evening’s footy.

4pm: Fenerbahce v Besiktas – BTTS & Over 2.5 Goals

Fenerbahce and Besiktas have both been disappointing in the Super Lig this term, sitting 5th and 7th respectively. It looks like a Turkish top flight for the taking this season, especially when you look at the names sitting above them in the table.

Besiktas are in abysmal form and lost seven of eight prior to a win last time out. Fener are a bit better with three wins in their last eight but it’s pretty grim reading all round.

While regular wins have been lacking, these two have seen plenty of goals in the Super Lig of late. Both Teams To Score and Over 2.5 Goals has landed in nine of the home side’s last 11 and eight of Besiktas’ last eight. Hopefully we’ll see another glut of goals to kick us off.

7pm: Vizela v Porto – Porto to Win to Nil

Portuguese Primeira Liga leaders Porto are literally unbeatable and they should face little resistance as they travel to face 10th-placed Vizela. Porto have won 12 of their 14 games so far, drawing the other two. Vizela have won just twice, drawn seven and losing four.

If there was one area Dragões could improve on it was defence. They had shipped a goal in five of the six goals prior to their last four where they have let in just one goal. Vizela are averaging just over a goal a game and they’ll find it tough to breach their visitors. Porto To Win to Nil is a great price in what looks a one-sided game on paper.

7.45pm: AC Milan v Napoli – BTTS & Over 2.5 Goals

AC Milan and Napoli were the early season pace setters in Serie A but both have seen their incredibly high standards slip of late. Milan dropped just two points from their opening 11 games, in their last six matches they’ve won just two.

Napoli also dropped just two points from their opening 11 games but have won just one of their last six. Will this game kick-start either of their seasons or are both in terminal decline?

Milan are still 2nd while Napoli have slipped to 4th. It’s a hot Serie A this season and, with Inter and Atalanta on fire, each point is precious. So, to this game where goals should be on the menu. Milan have scored 36 in 17 games while Napoli have 34 in the same number – a combined average of over two a game.

Napoli had been amazing at the back letting in just three goals in their first 11 but the dam has been breached with 10 flying in in their last 10. I think we can expect Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 Goals in this one.

8pm: Real Madrid v Cadiz – Real to Win 1-0, 2-0 or 3-0

La Liga champions in waiting Real Madrid set their sights on the relegation-haunted Cadiz on Sunday night. Real are eight points clear at the top while Cadiz are two points from safety.

A positive for The Pirates is that they are scoring. However, their defenders are undoing all the good work of the forwards. They’ve conceded twice as many as they’ve scored but netted in five of the last six.

That good scorning run should take a hit against Real who have won to Nil three times on the bounce coming into this one. They’ve now conceded just four goals in their last eight and will be looking to make that four in nine.

At a bigger price than to Win to Nil I’m happy to go with Real to Win 1-0, 2-0 or 3-0 with the only worry that they’ll outscore us. However, they’ve scored more than two goals on one occasion in the last 11 so I’m happy to side with that Correct Score Combination punt at a juicy price to round off the weekend.
