Paddy Power ambassador and all round good egg Phil Thompson is back ahead of another exciting, if severely depleted, weekend of football. Covid has ravaged the top flight fixture list this weekend and as it stands we’re left with just two games on Saturday.
WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
Undeterred, our top man has got his teeth in to Saturday’s late game which sees Leeds hosting Arsenal at Elland Road. Leeds were taken to pieces 7-0 by Manchester City during the week but can they bounce back? Here’s Thommo’s Leeds v Arsenal tips.
Saturday 5.30pm: Leeds v Arsenal
Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
I don’t think there’s much chance of an upset here. I don’t think it will be a walkover for Arsenal. Leeds still like to attack and that’s the madness of this football team.
They’ve not been the team that we really enjoyed last year but they still carry a threat. What a result it was against Manchester City! I felt for them watching Marcelo Bielsa on that touchline, you’re thinking ‘what is going through the guy’s mind?’
City looked as though they were going to score every time they attacked and it was dreadful. How do they recover from that? They’re playing against a resurgent Arsenal who beat Southampton and beat West Ham, keeping clean sheets.
Things look to be going in their favour but I think, with it being at Elland Road, I do fancy Leeds to score so Both Teams to Score but I do fancy Arsenal to Win this game just. I’m going for a 2-1 win for Arsenal.
