Chelsea may have been strangely leaky at the back lately, but they come into this game with out-of-sorts Everton still just five points off league leaders Man City in the race for the Premier League title. Thomas Tuchel will surely be trying to tighten things up defensively and if he succeeds, The Blues will be bang in the mix as they search for the sixth Premier League victory in the club’s history.
It doesn’t get much harder for Rafa Benitez and his off-colour Toffees than a trip to face the champions of Europe. Things are so bad at the moment that Benitez has moved into favourite on our Sack Race, and it hard to see that changing on Thursday night.
Ahead of the game we’ve turned to a man that knows Rafa very well, and that’s Liverpool legend Phil Thompson. But, unfortunately for Everton supporters, the Paddy Power ambassador doesn’t believe things are going to get any better for the blue half of Merseyside.

Watch on BT Sport 2
Chelsea have conceded eight in their last three games in all competitions, but their defensive record before that was solid. Leeds did rattle them at the weekend though, and this Blues outfit is looking a little vulnerable at the moment.
However, they face Everton, who are playing even worse! What is going on at Everton? Their fans are furious and I don’t know how long Rafa Benitez has left at Goodison Park. This is a tough one for The Toffees and I can’t see them getting anything out of this as they’ve picked up just one point in their last six away games.
I’m going for Chelsea to win on a correct score of 2-0 and Mason Mount to Score Anytime. He’s looking great at the moment as Leeds found out last weekend.
