While Sunday’s offerings in the Premier League are pretty underwhelming that’s not the case on the Continent where there’s some massive games taking place. There’s the Madrid derby in Spain as well as Paris St-Germain v Monaco in Ligue 1.

7.45pm: Inter v Cagliari – Inter to Win to Nil

TV: BT Sport 1

Inter have been on a sensational run recently and, up until their 2-0 loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League last time out, they hadn’t lost in 11 in all competitions, drawing just twice. They’re up to 2nd in Serie A, just a point behind bitter cross-town rivals AC Milan.

In contrast, Cagliari occupy the final relegation spot and sit 18th, two points from safety as we approach the half-way point of the season. They’ve won just once in Serie A this term and have drawn their last four before losing the four prior to that.

Inter should win and win well here. They’re huge favourites but we’re getting great value with Inter to Win to Nil. Simone Inzaghi’s side have won their last seven league matches, keeping five clean sheets, with only Milan and Napoli breaching them over that period – two sides who are far superior to Cagliari.

7.45pm: PSG v Monaco – BTTS & Over 2.5 Goals

TV: BT Sport 3

Ligue 1 champions in waiting PSG take on their old foes Monaco on Sunday evening with a handy 11 point lead at the top of the table. They’re 16 points clear of the principality club who are disappointing down in 7th.

PSG have drawn their last two league matches, winning the four prior, while Monaco have won their last two and drew the three that came before. Historically, matches between these two have seen plenty of goals and Monaco actually won home and away in the league last season but PSG are a different beast this year.

I think we’re in for goals again and I’ll side with Both Teams To Score and Over 2.5 Goals. Both teams have scored in three of Monaco’s last four domestic matches with Overs landing in the same number. For PSG, Both Teams To Score has clicked in five of their last six with Overs in four of them.

8pm: Real Madrid v Atletico Madrid – Real to Win and BTTS

TV: Premier Sports 1 and LaLigaTV

Real Madrid have clicked into another gear over the last few months and have won seven of their last eight La Liga matches. They look unbeatable and it feels like they might be well on their way to another title.

Their old friends from across the capital, Atletico Madrid, have been slightly chaotic and sit 4th heading into the weekend. They’ve won three of their last seven, drawing three and losing late on last time out.

I think we can quite safely side with the Real Win but for some extra value we can add Both Teams to Score. Atletico have scored in each of their last eight games, netting 18 times in the process.

Real are a bit leaky and have conceded in three of their last six so Diego Simeone will fancy his side’s chances of getting at least one. I don’t think that will be enough to stop Real Madrid winning as Both Teams Score.

8.30pm: Porto v Braga – Porto Win and Over 2.5 Goals

TV: BT Sport ESPN

Finally to Portugal where another table-topping side in electric form are in action. Porto are yet to lose this season, winning 11 Primeira Liga matches and drawing two. They’re level on points with Sporting at the top but have a slightly better goal difference.

Next in their sights are Braga who are doing pretty well themselves. They’re 4th, 10 points behind Porto, with a record of seven wins, four draws and two defeats. They’re in good form and have won four of their last five, losing the other.

They’ve come up short when playing anyone decent though and their two losses this term have come against Benfica and Sporting. I think Porto will make that three and there could be a fair few goals as well.

Porto have been winning and winning well recently, with Over 2.5 Goals in each of their last eight games which all ended in them taking all three points. Given that Braga’s two losses both also had Over 2.5 Goals I think Porto to Win and Over 2.5 Goals is a great play to round us off.
