With the qualification spots having been decided midweek in the various European competitions, we’re back to regular league action this weekend. For our Saturday night accumulator we’ve studied the stats and form of the fixtures to found the four best bets from the most interesting matches on offer.

HELLO FROM PADDY POWER NEWS!

19:45 Udinese v AC Milan: Milan To Win & Both Teams To Score

Milan were dumped out of the Champions League thanks to a 1-2 defeat at home to Liverpool and while the Rossoneri fans will be disappointed at being eliminated, the fact is that now they can fully concentrate on the league while their rivals will all be involved in European competitions following the winter break.

Back to this match, Udinese are in rough shape and have only won one of their five most recent league games, drawing two and losing two as well. At home things are just slightly better for I Bianconeri and at the Stadio Friuli they’ve won one of their last five, drawing three and losing one.

The visitors have been particularly strong away from the San Siro this campaign, winning four of their last five, scoring 15 goals over that period and conceding just nine. Five of the last seven meetings here have seen Both Teams To Score landing and with the hosts averaging 1.25 goals per home Serie A game, as well as the away side’s scoring record, it’s hard to not see both netting here.

Milan’s strong away record and superior scoring stats should see them taking all three points though and we’re getting some great value here by adding that to the Both Teams To Score pick.

20:00 Reims v St Etienne: Reims To Win

Reims are steadily climbing up the Ligue 1 table after what was a terrible first few months of games and can heap more pain on a St Etienne side who sit bottom of the league table. The home side have won two, drawn two and lost one over their last five league games, while the visitors have won two and lost three. Indeed, things have gotten so bad for the travelling side here that they’ve scored just one goal over their last three league games and have conceded nine.

At home, Les Rouges Et Blancs have won two of their last five while the travelling side have won just one of their last five, drawing one and losing three. Reims have the momentum here against a side who are not only short on confidence, but are short on goals as well.

20:00 Athletic Bilbao v Sevilla: Both Teams To Score

Like Milan above, Sevilla are going to be licking their wounds following their Champions League elimination at the hands of RB Salzburg. The away side are enjoying a good run in La Liga though with three wins, one draw and one loss over their last five – scoring eight and conceding four.

Bilbao’s overall form makes for some tough reading, it’s been eight league games since they’ve won now. However, at the San Mamés Barria they’ve been stronger, winning two of their last five, drawing one and losing two.

The hosts have scored in all but one of their seven home La Liga games this season and with Both Teams To Score landing in five of the last seven meetings between the pair here, that trend should continue particularly as Sevilla currently stand seven points behind league leaders Real Madrid and will be desperate to close the gap.

20:30 Sporting vs Boavista: Sporting To Win To Nil

Porto and Sporting share top spot in the Primeira Liga on 35 points, Porto are eight goals ahead and Benfica occupy third spot on 31 points. The home side are enjoying a run of eight straight wins in the league, six of those eight saw them winning to nil and at home they’ve won all four of their most recent league games with a clean sheet too.

Indeed, The Leoes have only conceded five goals over their 13 league games this season. With stats as good as that the clear value here is in backing Sporting to Win to Nil.
