Fresh off another stellar midweek of tipping, Paddy Power ambassador Phil Thompson keeps the armband and his starring role in our starting XI to dive head-first into another weekend of Premier League football. You simply can not question that man’s stamina.
To get the ball rolling in the top flight this Saturday it’s West Ham v Chelsea. The Hammers have hit the skids a little of late while Thomas Tuchel’s ruthless Chelsea march on.
Can David Moyes’ boys cause a shock? Here’s Thommo’s West Ham v Chelsea tips for your early game on Saturday in the Premier League.
They’ve had a wonderful spell, haven’t they, West Ham? Everybody’s been lauding it with them and David Moyes – how well he’s done. It’s incredible, isn’t it? He’s only made eight changes throughout the season.
The number of changes that Thomas Tuchel makes is quite astonishing and is by far the most. So, you’ve got one who’s made plenty of them and Moyes who trusts in his players. But, West Ham have only picked up one point from their last three Premier League games.
They will be wanting to try and change that but you’ve got Chelsea who are absolutely steamrollering teams. They didn’t play too well against Watford in the week but they still got the job done.
They’re unbeaten in 12, have only conceded six goals, and they’ve won each of their last five away games in all competitions. They’re on the road again at West Ham, a big derby, but I’m going for Chelsea to Win this one.
