Football Accumulator tips: Tuesday’s 15/1 four-fold from across Europe

Our footie tipster Paddy Murphy has a fab foursome in mind.

* All prices are bang up to date with our snazzy widgets, while odds in copy are accurate at time of publishing but subject to change.

Our focus for Tuesday night’s football acca will be on the Premier League, the Scottish Premiership and Italy’s Serie A. Crystal Palace will be at Elland Road taking on a Leeds side who have won just one of their last five fixtures.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

In Scotland, Motherwell take on Dundee United and we’ll also be looking for value in the Serie A where Juventus will be visiting Serie A’s bottom side, Salernitana. Kicking us off we have Newcastle taking on Norwich at home with the Geordies still looking for their first win under new manager Eddie Howe.

19.30: Newcastle v Norwich – Newcastle to Win

Bottom-of-the-table Newcastle United haven’t exactly improved under new manager Eddie Howe. The only man in Newcastle to have been awarded the Freedom of the Borough of Bournemouth has just one point after two games and the Toon need to start chalking up some wins otherwise yet another Championship season may be on the cards. Indeed they’ve won none of their 13 top-flight games so far, drawing six and losing seven.

At home, the Magpies have drawn three and lost two of their last five. Norwich, who are second bottom, obviously aren’t in mighty shape either with two wins, one draw and two losses over their last five games. Looking at their away games only, they’ve won just one of their last five in the league (at Brentford in Daniel Farke’s last game), drawing one and losing three.

The home side are favourites here according to the market, and no doubt their home scoring record is the reason for this. They’ve scored eight over their last five at home; the Canaries have managed just two over their five most recent away games. Based on that we’re siding with the market here and Newcastle should get their first home win of the Premier League season.

19.45: Salernitana v Juventus – Juventus to Win 1-0, 2-0 or 3-0

A swift return to Serie B looks to be on the cards for Salernitana who have just eight points after 14 Serie A matches, winning two, drawing two and losing 10. It’s hard not to see an easy Juventus win here even though the Old Lady have shipped five unanswered goals over their two most recent fixtures, 4-0 away to Chelsea in the Champions League and a 0-1 loss at home to Atalanta.

Salernitana have failed to score in three of their last five in the league and in both of their most recent home games as well. Juve have kept two clean sheets over their last three Serie A matches and two out of four on their league excursions. The visitors should return to winning ways here and we’re getting some excellent value in the Correct Score Combinations market; we’re backing Juventus to Win 1-0, 2-0 or 3-0.

19.45: Motherwell v Dundee United – Both Teams to Score

Both sides are in pretty mediocre form of late, neither winning too many, nor losing tons either. Motherwell have won two of their last five in the league, drawing one and losing two. At Fir Park they’ve won two of their last five, drawing one and losing two. Dundee have won one of their last five, drawing two and losing two while on their Premiership outings have won one, drawing three and losing one.

There’s very little between the sides here so we need to look at goals, The Well have scored seven over their last five at home, the Terrors have eight on their travels. With those stats, Both Teams to Score is offering some decent value and we’ll be having a nibble thank you very much.

20.15: Leeds v Crystal Palace – Both Teams to Score

Second-season syndrome has certainly hit Leeds United who have been finding Premier League life a little tougher this campaign. Over their five most recent league games they’ve won just one, drawing three and losing one. At Elland Road they’ve also won just one, drawing two and losing two. Palace have looked much better over the last few weeks as Patrick Viera’s methods have become evident.

The away side have won two of their last five in the league, drawing two and losing one. Their form on the road isn’t as good with one win, three draws and one loss but those draws just further illustrate how difficult Viera has made them to beat. Last season we’d have been all over a Leeds win here but confidence seems to be the issue with the Whites as they’re struggling to turn drawing positions into wins.

The Eagles’ team unity and goal-scoring stats of nine over their last five away games compared to Leeds’ four over their last five at home means the safest option here is for both teams to get on the scoresheet.
