Our tipster Paddy Murphy bloody loves Mondays.

Our Monday night football acca certainly has a Latin feeling to it as we’ll be digging deeply into the stats for the games being played in Italy’s Serie A and Spain’s La Liga. We’ll be searching for value as Rayo Vallecano entertain Mallorca and Torino take on Udinese, but starting us off we have Verona taking on Empoli at home.

5.30pm: Verona v Empoli: Both Teams to Score No Draw

TV: BT Sport 1

At the time of writing, Verona and Empoli currently occupy 10th and 11th in Serie A respectively, although that’s highly likely to have changed by the time kickoff comes around here. Both sides are in decent enough form; the home side have won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five matches, the visitors have won two, drawn one and lost two over their five most recent fixtures.

Verona have been very strong at home this season, winning four of their six home games in the league. However, they’ve only managed to keep a single clean sheet over those six games. Similarly, Empoli have been very good on their Serie A excursions across the country, winning four of their five away games, losing the other.

The Gialloblu are the odds-on favourites here but the away side’s record on the road is too good to dismiss and they’ve scored nine over their last five away games. With the home side’s lack of clean sheets, and the fact that there’s only been five drawn games over the teams’ 24 combined league games, we’re getting some great value in backing Both Teams to Score No Draw here.

7.45pm: Torino v Udinese: Torino to Win & Over 2.5 Goals

TV: BT Sport 1

Torino will be depending on their home form here which has seen them winning three of their last five, drawing one and losing one. Udinese have won just one of their last five overall matches, drawing three and losing one.

Away from home they’ve also won just one of their last five, drawing two and losing two. Il Toro have taken 15 points from a possible 21 over the five most recent meetings between the sides at both grounds. At home they’ve also won three of the last five, with the underdogs winning one and one ending in a draw.

The hosts have scored at least three goals in three of their last five at home and that scoring form at home should see them taking the three points here. However, the visitors are averaging 1.40 goals in their away Serie A matches and will certainly pose a threat. We’re looking at both scoring here but fot the home side to take the three points. Torino to Win and Over 2.5 Goals has a great price here.

8pm: Rayo Vallecano v Mallorca: Rayo Vallecano to Win

TV: Premier Sports 1 and LaLigaTV

Rayo’s good form has taken a bit of a knock of late, winning two of their last five, drawing one and losing one. At the Estadio de Vallecas though they’ve been nothing short of mighty; winning five and drawing one of their six La Liga games.

Mallorca have won none of their five most recent games, losing one and drawing four. There’s an interesting stat for us though, of those four draws they dropped from a winning position in every single one of them.

On their league travels Los Piratas have only won one of their six league games, losing three and drawing two. Hard to make a case for the travelling side here with their atrocious away record. Their away scoring record isn’t bad but Rayo have kept three clean sheets over their last five home games and we can only see this one ending with a Home Win here.
