Champions League action has returned and Paddy Power ambassador Phil Thompson is back to focus on Atalanta v Man United on Tuesday evening. He’s joined by our football trader Jason Murphy to discuss whether the Red Devils can build on their solid 3-0 win at Tottenham last weekend. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s job seems safe for now, however, United need a good result in Italy.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

Tuesday 8pm: Atalanta v Man United
BT Sport 2

Thommo:

The first game at Old Trafford was astonishing. It was two completely different halves from Man United. I fancy The Draw in this one but there will be goals, so I’ll say 2-2. Atalanta will be desperate to win as they know they need the points to get closer to the top of the group.

Both Teams to Score makes plenty of sense as Atalanta will create chances regardless of what formation Ole Gunnar Solskjaer decides to go with.

I fancy Solskjaer to go with Marcus Rashford up top instead of Edinson Cavani. Cavani impressed on Saturday against Tottenham but he might opt to go with Rashford’s pace. I like Marcus Rashford to Score Anytime at a decent price.

Jason Murphy:

If you’re a neutral, you’re hoping for more of the same after a thriller at Old Trafford. I’ve opposed Man United plenty of times this season, however, there’s value in Man United to Win away from home.

Atalanta are still missing a lot of players that were absent in the first game and United will create plenty of chances in Italy.

If you’re looking in the goalscorer markets, there’s only one place to look and that’s Cristiano Ronaldo to Score Anytime. I expect United to score a couple of goals at Atalanta and if United find the back of the net, it’s usually through Ronaldo. He’s a solid price too.
