Our footie tipster Paddy Murphy is hoping for a goal fest.

Friday’s four-fold football acca sees us questing for value in Serie A where Sampdoria and Spezia desperately need to get some points on the board. Arsenal host Aston Villa in the Premier League where the hosts are unbeaten over their last six matches with Villa only winning two of their last six.

Then it’s to France then where St Etienne will be looking for their first win of the season against an Angers side who are in robust form and finally to La Liga where Osasuna can go level with Real Sociedad at the top of the table should they beat Granada at home.

19.45: Sampdoria v Spezia – Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 Goals

Neither side are in the best of shape here, Sampdoria have only won one of their eight Serie A games, drawing three and losing four. Spezia have won two, drawn one and lost five. Only Salernitana, at the bottom of the table, have lost more. Sampdoria’s form though is the worse of the two, they’ve only won one of their last five, drawing one and losing three.

Spezia have won two and lost three of their five most recent. Goals should be the order of the day here, for both sides Over 2.5 goals was seen in all five of their most recent home/away games and Both Teams to Score was seen in four of their five games too.

Indeed, they’re both in good goal-scoring form, Samp have scored 11 over their eight games, Spezia have scored 10, however, the home side have conceded 16, Spezia have conceded 20. With those records, Both Teams to Score and Overs has decent value here.

20.00: Arsenal v Aston Villa – Arsenal to Win and BTTS

While Arsenal got a bit of abuse for drawing with Crystal Palace earlier in the week they showed some decent character by clawing back from a losing position to rescue a draw. Of their last eight matches they’ve only lost the one and are unbeaten over their last six games in a row.

At home this season they’ve played five games, winning three, drawing one and losing one. Villa have won two of their last five matches, losing the other three and their away form has seen them winning two, drawing one (losing it on penalties) and losing two.

Arsenal are favourites here obviously enough and while Villa’s four loses over eight league games isn’t great, they’ve been pretty good in front of goal, scoring 12. Arsenal have scored seven over the same period an both teams have conceded 12. Over their combined 16 games only three have ended level, Arsenal have only had one home draw so far this season, Villa have had no draws on the road. This has a strong look of a home win and both teams scoring.

20.00: St Etienne v Angers – Both Teams to Score

St Etienne are in terrible form, they’ve so far won none of their league games this season, drawing four and losing six. They’ve scored nine, which isn’t too shabby, but have shipped a total of 23 goals. Angers are in great form, they’ve won four, drawn four and lost only two over their 10 league games. They’re not the favourites here though as their form of late has seen them win just one of their last five, drawing two and losing two.

Away from home, they’ve won one, drawn three and lost one. St Etienne have lost four of their last five, drawing the other one, at home things are just a bit better where they’ve drawn three and lost two. With so many draws between the sides they’re obviously scoring a few and while we could back another draw here Both Teams to Score is the safer option.

20.00: Osasuna v Granada – Osasuna to Win

Osasuna have been in great form of late, winning four of their last five and losing one. Indeed, they’ve fifth in the table with five wins, two draws and two losses. Granada are at the opposite end of things, they’ve won just one of their last five, drawing one and losing three. So far, they’ve only won one of their eight La Liga games, drawing three and losing four.

The home side haven’t exactly been mighty at home though, they’ve only won one of their last three at the Estadio El Sadar but Granada’s away from is muck, losing three of their last five, drawing two and failing to score in three of them. The Home Win has the value here.
