18:00: Alaves v Real Betis – BTTS – No
Our first game sees La Liga strugglers Alaves host Real Betis. Alaves have won just one of their seven league games so far this season, where they bizarrely beat Atletico Madrid in September, and scored just two goals in that time. Manuel Pellegrini’s Betis, meanwhile, are currently mid-table and have only lost twice in eight games. All signs point to Betis Winning to Nil due to Alaves’ lack of threat so we’re behind BTTS – No.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
19:15: Shamrock Rovers v Bohemians – BTTS
Shamrock Rovers boast a six point lead at the top of the Irish Premier Division and their home record is impressive, with Stephen Bradley’s side losing just once all season. However, they welcome fifth-placed Bohemians, who have scored the most goals in the league. While Rovers will likely win, their defence isn’t impenetrable, with BTTS landing in five of their last seven home games. Bohemians, meanwhile, have netted in their last four away games. BTTS seems a solid pick.
19:45: Venezia v Fiorentina – BTTS
Fiorentina travel to the struggling Venezia in Serie A on Monday night hoping to close the gap on Napoli, AC Milan and Inter Milan at the top of the table. Fiorentina have been BTTS specialists so far this season, with the bet landing in six of their seven league games. While Venezia have failed to impress, they have scored five goals in seven games. Fiorentina will score and we’re confident they will give Venezia enough chances to find the back of the net too. BTTS it is!
20:00: Arsenal v Crystal Palace – BTTS – No
Arsenal v Crystal Palace sees two former Gunners stars in Mikel Arteta and Patrick Vieira go head to head. Arsenal had an abysmal start to the season, however, they’ve looked a lot better in recent weeks – largely due to their defensive improvements. They’ve conceded just once in their last four Premier League games and will be hoping to continue that streak on Monday night. Palace have been draw specialists, with four of their seven league games ending level. The Eagles have been more attacking under Vieira but they’ve failed to score in two of their three away games. Yes, it’s hard to trust flaky Arsenal, but we fancy them to have enough to win and keep Palace out. BTTS – No will do us.
20:00: Espanyol v Cadiz – BTTS
Espanyol and Cadiz face off with both sides having an average season to date. Espanyol are 13th in La Liga and while Cadiz are 16th – and the sides have three wins between them. Espanyol beat Real Madrid 2-1 before the international break so they’ll have their tails up. As for Cadiz, BTTS has landed in their three away La Liga games so far this season and we fancy that streak to continue. BTTS would wrap up this Monday acca perfectly!
