With the international break clicking into full gear we’re left with just a handful of games to weigh up in League One and League Two this Saturday. Such is the upwardly mobile nature of both English football and the lower leagues that we’re left with just four games in the third tier due to international call ups.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
We’ve got the full gamut of games in League Two, but we’re only looking at the Saturday 3pm games for our Both Teams to Score acca. And, just to keep you on your toes, we’ve got both Both Teams To Score? Yes and No in here to squeeze out the best value possible.

Ipswich v Shrewsbury – Yes
It’s not going to plan for either Ipswich or Shrewsbury this season as they sit 19th and 23rd this season as we pass the fabled 10-game mark. Another troubling characteristic that these two share is a leaky defence.
Ipswich are shipping 1.8 goals per game so far this season while it’s a shade under 1.5 for the away side. However, the Tractor Boys have been in fine goal-scoring form and have 19 from 10 games. Both Teams To Score? Yes has landed in The Shrews’ last five games and there’s a great chance that continues this weekend.
Harrogate v Scunthorpe – No
Harrogate have been surprising many in League Two this season as they sit in 2nd after 10 games. Scunthorpe have been shocking so far and they’re rock bottom with just seven points and one win from 10 games.
The Iron have only scored six goals, shipping 17 in the process. Town have scored 17 but conceded 12. Harrogate are clearly superior to Scunny and there’s a great chance we see Both Teams To Score? No here in a home Win to Nil.
Mansfield v Oldham – No
Two of League Two’s struggling teams duke it out at 3pm on Saturday as 23rd-placed Oldham travel to 22nd-placed Mansfield. They’ve scored a combined 16 goals in their 20 league games this season, conceding 31 in the process.
Both Teams to Score has only landed in one of the last five Oldham games and three of Mansfield’s, but not their last two. This is going to be a real slog and it would be a surprise to see both of these two toothless attacks netting so we’re on the Both Teams To Score? No.
Rochdale v Crawley – Yes
Rochdale and Crawley are at a crossroads, both are starring down the barrel of mid-table obscurity, but either could easily slip into a relegation battle. Dale come into this game week in 16th while Crawley are just two places higher.
Both Teams To Score has only landed in two of the home side’s last five games but we’re siding with Crawley’s record. They’ve witnessed BTTS click in four of their last five. The away side are quite temperamental but they almost-always concede so it’s worth siding with Both Teams to Score.
Sutton v Port Vale – Yes
Two teams in red-hot form meet here as Sutton host Port Vale at Gander Green Lane. United are 11th in the fourth tier and have won four of their last five league games. The Valiants are up to 3rd and have won five of the last six, coming here looking for their fifth victory in a row.
Obviously then, both teams are in scintillating goal-scoring form. Vale have scored 12 in the last six while United have 10 in their last six with only Exeter keeping them at bay. With both sides in such form in front of goal we have to be on Both Teams To Score? Yes.
