Tuesday 8pm: PSG v Man City
BT Sport 1 and BT Sport Ultimate

City have impressed so far this season and are second in the Premier League following their dominant win at Chelsea on Saturday. PSG, meanwhile, have a 100 per cent record in Ligue 1, winning all eight of their games.

Tuesday’s match looks set to be a fascinating contest and we’ve Paddy Power football ambassador Phil Thompson to take a look at the best bets for the game. Oh, and our football trader Brian McDonnell is along for the ride as well…

Lionel Messi Neymar

Ligue 1 is so easy for PSG every week but Man City coming to town will give them a big lift. Lionel Messi, if he plays, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe will be up for this.

I fancy The Draw and Both Teams to Score so I’ll go with 2-2. The only issue with Pep Guardiola and City is who will start and in what position? I fancy Pep to start Raheem Sterling against PSG after leaving him out at Chelsea.

He’s got the pace to trouble PSG, who aren’t solid at the back, so Sterling to Score Anytime makes sense. As for a PSG goalscorer, you can pick anyone from their front three and you’re in with a shout!

I like Man City to Win 2-1. If City were to win, it would leave PSG in trouble after their draw at Club Brugge in the first group game. Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe started up top for them that day but it just didn’t quite click.

You imagine it won’t take long for them to work it out but PSG’s performances haven’t been at a high level. Messi is also a doubt for this one after missing their Ligue 1 game at the weekend.

Man City were impressive against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and they controlled from start to finish. Pep Guardiola’s side hammered RB Leipzig in their last Champions League game, which finished 6-3. However, City could have scored 10 that day.

City will be confident heading into this one and I’ll go with a narrow 2-1 win against a PSG side who are there for the taking.

I’ll also go with Raheem Sterling to Score Anytime after missing out against Chelsea. He’s scored some crucial Champions League goals for City, especially away from home.
