Friday’s football Acca sees us searching for value in the German Bundesliga, Italy’s Serie A, the English Premier League and Spain’s La Liga. First up we’re off to Germany where both Hertha Berlin and Greuther Furth have had disastrous starts to their respective seasons and will be looking to chalk up a badly-needed three points on the board.

7.30pm: Hertha Berlin vs Greuther Furth: Hertha Win & Over 1.5 Goals

Of Hertha’s five competitive games this season they’ve won two and lost three, only one victory was in the Bundesliga, last weekend’s 1-3 win away at Bochum. Furth have yet to win a single game and have lost three and drawn one over their four Bundeliga games. Hertha are strong favourites here, largely thanks to Furth being one of the promoted sides from last season but their home form isn’t exactly mighty.

Over their five most recent home Bundesliga games they’ve only won one, drawing three and losing one. Furth have only won one of their last five away games, drawing one and losing three. Hertha’s scoring record is superior too, with five goals over their four Bundesliga games, Furth have scored just two. The odds for a home win are a tad too low for value but adding Hertha’s scoring record into the mix we can get some decent odds by going with Hertha to Win and Over 1.5 Goals here.

7.45pm: Sassuolo vs Torino: Sassuolo Win & Both Teams to Score

TV: BT Sport 3

Sassuolo haven’t had the start they were expecting to this season’s Serie A, they’ve so far won one, drawn one and lost one, scoring four and conceding four. Torino have, well, been exactly like Torino, they’ve won one and lost two, scoring six and conceding four. These encounters have been tight affairs over previous seasons with four of them ending level and Sassuolo winning one. Only one of those draws ended 0-0.

Sassuolo are a tough nut to crack on home soil, they’ve only lost one of their last 10 Serie A games at Citta del Tricolore and that was to Juventus. Torino’s away record has seen them winning just two of their last 10 on their league travels. However, we can’t dismiss them here, those six goals so far this season shows they’re capable of at least getting one here but Sassuolo’s home form should prevail. The value here is in backing the home side and both teams scoring.

8pm: Newcastle vs Leeds: Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

Of their five games so far this season, Newcastle have failed to register a single win. Leeds have won one, albeit a League Cup win over Crewe Alexandra. Both teams have been disappointing in the Premier League. Newcastle have lost three and drawn one, scoring five and conceding an eye-watering 12. Leeds have drawn two and lost two, scoring four and conceding 11. When two mediocre defences meet we usually see some goals.

Newcastle have scored at least one in nine of their last 10 PL games at St James’ Park, they scored two or more in six of them. Leeds have scored in seven of their last 10 on their PL excursions and scored two or more in five of them. The market is piling into Over 2.5 goals here but we can sweeten the deal by adding Both Teams to Score into the mix. Our pick here is BTTS & Overs.

8pm: Celta Vigo vs Cadiz: Both Teams to Score

TV: LaLigaTV

Both of these sides are yet to win a La Liga game this season. Celta Vigo have drawn one and lost three, scoring three and conceding eight in the process while Cadiz have drawn two and lost two, scoring four and conceding seven. Celta are odds-on favourites here but they’ve only won two of their last five at home in La Liga, losing the other three.

Cadiz have only won one of their last five away La Liga games, three of them ended level and they lost one. Cadiz have scored in all 10 of those away games and Celta have only kept three clean sheets over their last 10 at home. We’re getting some great odds here for Both Teams to Score with those statistics.
