Another game, another bevvy of top tips from Paddy’s pundits. That’s right, Paddy ambassador Phil Thompson returns with our top trader Jason Murphy to run the rule over Manchester City taking on RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The German side have been having a torrid time of it after Bayern ransacked their squad and nicked their manager in the process. City are big favourites here but the lads think they’ve found a bet or two with some good value at The Etihad on Wednesday.

RB Leipzig have been a good side, I say ‘have been’. They’ve had a torrid start to the campaign, they’re 12th of the 18 teams in the Bundesliga with three points from four games. Jesse Marsch the new boss of RB Leipzig is having an absolutely torrid time.
They got beaten 4-1 at the weekend at home, this is an absolute outright banker. It’s where do you get the value? It’s so difficult to pick the Manchester City side because whoever gets picked is going to be far stronger than Leipzig.
I think the value is in a score line, which will certainly be to Nil. I’ve got a very conservative 3-0 victory for Manchester City. Not knowing the team at the moment I’ll go for Raheem Sterling to Score Anytime. I do think he will start. So, I don’t know what Jason thinks about that.

Yeah, Pep Guardiola normally does funny things in the Champions League, especially when it gets to the knockout stages but this season in the Premier League he’s been fairly consistent in his line up. He’ll have to change it up for this and Sterling absolutely, I’d imagine, is one player who has to get a start here.
There’ a nice price on Raheem Sterling to Score First. I think that’s fair bet, especially when you consider the troubles that Leipzig have that Thommo’s alluded to. Jesse Marsch, coming in from Salzburg, hasn’t gone right so far. That’s not to say it won’t work out long term for them, but they’ve lost a lot of quality, especially at the back.
It’s just not happened for them at the moment therefore the City price to Win is justifiable, considering that Bayern Munich were about even money going off at Leipzig at the weekend.
If you want to put Man City to Win in your accas to juice up the price one Wednesday I think that’s fair enough and Sterling should get a start and if he does him to Score First is probably the best bet you’ll find for this game.
