Friday’s European football acca sees us checking in on Italian Champions Inter who travel to Verona, an away fixture they’ve not lost since 1992. Next we’re off to France then where Lyon play away to Nantes and then onto Spain’s La Liga where Valencia host Alaves. First up though, have things come off the rails already for Dortmund? They seem to love making life tough on themselves, and they take on Hoffenheim in the first leg of our acca. Let’s dig in and find some value.

The below picks in a Paddy Power acca will give you odds of around 34/1. CLICK HERE TO ADD IT TO YOUR BETSLIP.

19.30: Borussia Dortmund v Hoffenheim – Anytime Correct Score: 3-1

Dortmund’s season had been off to the best possible start with two wins from two in the first two weeks of August. Since then they were soundly beaten by Bayern Munich in the Super Cup and beaten against by Freiburg last weekend. However, it must be said that Dortmund have won all five of their most recent home Bundesliga matches and Hoffenheim have only beaten Dortmund once over their last 10 attempts at the Westfalenstadion.

Hoffenheim weren’t too bad on the road last season. They ended up losing seven of their 17 away games, winning three and drawing seven and they averaged 1.18 goals per away match. Of those 10 games mentioned above, they scored at least one in nine of them and at least two in six of them. However, over their last five on the road in the league they only managed to score more than one goal in one match.

Dortmund have to make a statement here and with Erling Haaland not scoring in either of his last two matches we can expect him to be firing from all angles here. Hoffenheim have shown in the past they don’t fear Dortmund so we’re looking at an Anytime Correct Score bet here; 3-1 has the best value.

19.45: Verona v Inter – Inter to Win and Both Teams to Score

Inter began their title defence by smashing Genoa 4-0 last Saturday, Verona put in a good second-half performance at home to Sassuolo but it was too little too late as they ended up losing 2-3. This will be the sixth meeting between the sides at Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi since 2015, Inter have won three and two have ended level. Over 2.5 goals has occurred in all five previous meetings with Both Teams to Score landing in four.

Verona have scored five goals over their two domestic games so far and averaged 1.21 per home Serie A game last season. Inter averaged 1.89 goals per away league game last season and with those records we’d have to go with BTTS here. Inter though, with that great away record at Verona and having won four of their last five Serie A games should come out on top. Inter to Win and BTTS is the way to go here.

SATURDAY FOOTBALL TIPS

20.00: Nantes v Lyon – Both Teams to Score

Nantes have won one, drawn one and lost one over their three Ligue Un games so far, Lyon have drawn two and lost one. Lyon have won three of the last five previous meetings between the pair here in all competitions, Over 2.5 goals landing in four of those games, BTTS in three.

Nantes rarely go a home league match without scoring, they’ve scored at least one in nine of their last 10 while Lyon on their league travels share the same statistic. With neither team exactly in the best of form when it comes to winning matches we’re playing it safe here and going with Both Teams to Score.

21.15: Valencia v Alaves – Valencia to Win

Valencia have won one and drawn one of their two La Liga games so far, Alaves have had a pretty disastrous start to their season, losing both of their opening league matches. The teams have met six times here in all competitions since 2016 with the home side winning five and one ending level.

BTTS landed in all six of those games, Over 2.5 goals was witnessed in five of them. Valencia will be looking to make it four home La Liga wins in-a-row here and Alaves’ away form of just one away win over their last five in the league means we’re going with the home side.

19.45: Verona v Inter – Inter to Win and Both Teams to Score
20.00: Nantes v Lyon – Both Teams to Score
