The below picks in a Paddy Power Acca will give you odds of around 24/1. CLICK HERE TO ADD IT TO YOUR BETSLIP.

12.30pm: Liverpool vs Burnley – Both Teams to Score

Liverpool have had a couple of tough matches against Burnley over the last few seasons. Over the last three meetings between the sides at both stadiums, Liverpool have only won one. Burnley have won one and one ended level. Recent games at Anfield haven’t always gone Liverpool’s way either, since 2017, Liverpool have only beaten Burnley twice, Burnley won one and two ended in 1-1 draws. Both Teams to Score landing in all but one of those five games.

Liverpool averaged 1.53 goals per home league games last season and conceded 1.05. Burnley scored 1.0 goals on their away PL excursions and conceded 1.47. Liverpool only kept two clean sheets over their last 10 home PL matches last season, and yes they have a mostly fully-fit defence now, but Burnley have shown Liverpool time and again they don’t go down without a fight. The odds on Both Teams To Score are too good to say no to here.

3pm: Man City v Norwich – Man City to Win to Nil

Man City have now lost their three most recent competitive matches; last weekend losing 1-0 away to Spurs, losing to Leicester City in the Community Shield and losing to Chelsea in the Champions League final. City haven’t lost three games in a row since 2018 when Liverpool beat them twice in the Champions League and they lost at home to Man United. However, City won 13 of their 19 home games last season, drawing two and losing four.

Norwich, as Championship winners, were obviously quite good on the road last season, winning 15 of their 23 away matches, drawing four and losing four. Liverpool though gave them a chilly welcome back to the Premier League, beating them 0-3 last weekend and in a preseason friendly a week prior to that they also lost 3-0 away to Newcastle. City should get back to winning ways here against a team finding goals hard to come by of late, we’re going with City to Win to Nil.

5.30pm: Bayer Leverkusen v Monchengladbach – BTTS No Draw

Both teams began their respective Bundesliga seasons with a 1-1 draw. ‘Gladbach’s draw was against Bayern Munich though while Leverkusen drew 1-1 away to Union Berlin. Over the last few seasons we’ve seen some good battles at the BayArena with both sides winning three games each over their last six meetings there. Four of those games saw Over 2.5 goals, three saw BTTS landing.

Leverkusen scored 2.0 goals per home league game last season, conceding 1.29 while ‘Gladbach scored 1.88 and conceded 2.18 on average over their away Bundesliga games. We should see plenty of goals here with both scoring but we’re unlikely to see a Draw as Leverkusen only recorded only five home draws last season with ‘Gladbach having six away draws in total. Both sides are good enough to beat the other, we’re going with Both Teams To Score, No Draw.

5.30pm: Inter vs Genoa – Both Teams To Score

Inter begin their title defence at home to Genoa. Romelu Lukaku is out and Edin Dzeko is in. The manager who steered them to their first title in 10 years, Antonio Conte is also gone, replaced by former Lazio head bottlewasher, Simone Inzaghi, and it looks like Inter are really wanting to make things difficult for themselves this season.

Inter have beaten Genoa on every hosting since 2013, a run of eight wins in-a-row, seven of those saw them winning to nil. However, Genoa scored at least one over all six of their most recent Serie A games and scored three in their recent Coppa Italia match. Inter have conceded in four of their last six at home in the league and the current unsettlement at Inter is Genoa’s best opportunity in years, we’re backing the trend to end this season, Both Teams To Score is the best bet here.

9pm: Athletic Bilbao vs Barcelona – Barcelona to Win

Bilbao opened their La Liga season with a 0-0 draw away to Elche, Barcelona were 4-2 winners at Real Sociedad. Results have been fairly even over recent fixtures at the Estadio San Mames in all competitions with the home side winning two of the last six, Barcelona winning three and one ending all square.

Bilbao ended the La Liga season winning none of their final five games while at home they won just one of their last five, drawing three and losing one. Barcelona won three of their last five on the road, drawing one and losing one. With Lionel Messi gone there are a few players in the Barcelona squad eager to take the spotlight and we’re getting some great odds for Barca to win here against a side who haven’t won a league game since last May.

The Selections to Swerve on Saturday

Freiburg vs Borussia Dortmund

The market is heavily siding with the away side here but there are a few factors that are indicating that this match is one to avoid. First of all, Dortmund will still be licking their wounds after yet another defeat to Bayern Munich this week and while that could inspire them to victory here it could have the opposite effect too. Dortmund have a good few first teamers on the treatment table too and as well, Freiburg beat Dortmund here last season and over their first most recent games here, Dortmund have only won two. There are too many red flags here.

St Etienne vs Lille

Ligue 1 champions Lille began their season with a surprise 1-0 Super Cup win over PSG but since then have only picked up one point over their two league matches. St Etienne have drawn both of their league matches. St Etienne have been a bit of a bogey team for Lille of late, since 2015 the teams have met six times here with the home side winning three, Lille winning two and one ending level. Lille’s start doesn’t give us any confidence here, we’re swerving this one.
