Move aside every other sport on the planet, football is back. The EFL season gets underway on Friday night but we’ve got a bevvy of games from the second to fourth tier on Saturday at 3pm.

To celebrate, we’ve scoured the 72 to bring you a belting Both Teams To Score four-fold for Saturday’s 3pms from The Championship, League One and League Two. So, without further ado, let’s single out our sharp-shooters.

The below picks in a Paddy Power Bet Builder will give you odds of around 10/1. CLICK HERE TO ADD IT TO YOUR BETSLIP.

Stoke v Reading

Stoke and Reading both come into this season thinking they have realistic hopes of a playoff charge, though I suspect the visitors’ are more realistic. These were two of the more exciting also-rans last year with both scoring and conceding more than one goal a game. The Potters scored 50 and let in 52 over their 46 games while The Royals scored 62 and shipped 54. That’s a total of 218 goals between the two, an average of over 2.3 per game. If those trends continue we’ve got a great chance of Both Teams Scoring here.

Sunderland v Wigan

League One title favourites Sunderland face an interesting prospect in the shape of Wigan and, specifically, their former goal machine Charlie Wyke. The 28-year-old scored a superb 26 goals last term – 19 more than any other Black Cats Player. He’s nailed on to bag for Wigan here, retuning to his old stamping ground, and I think we can expect Paddy’s big favourites Sunderland to grab at least one. Both Teams to Score has landed two of the last three times these two have met and we could see that becoming three out of four.

Exeter v Bradford

Last season’s League Two top scorers Exter host Bradford on the opening day with a little bit of an injury crisis on their hands. Both of these managed to both score and concede more than a goal a game and were involved in a couple of crackers in the league. There were nine goals across the two games, a 3-2 win for the Grecians and a 2-2 draw up at Valley Parade. If there’s a Both Teams to Score banker this weekend, this feels like it.

Forest Green v Sutton United

Forest Green lost out in the League Two playoffs last season while the then part-time Sutton United blitzed the National League, overhauling Torquay to secure promotion as champions by four points in the end. They smashed 72 goals in 42 games and while it will be a lot tougher in the EFL, you don’t just lose that kind of attacking power overnight.

Rovers are a good side at this level and you can expect last season’s 6th-best League Two side to net against the former non-league upstarts. I have a feeling Sutton will bag as well so I think we’ll see Both Teams Scoring down at the New Lawn.
