Football tips: Alan Cawley’s League of Ireland best bets this weekend

Paddy's League of Ireland expert, Alan Cawley, returns to put you in on goal for another weekend's action.

We’re back with another round of fixtures in the SSE Airtricity League of Ireland this weekend with two games on Friday, one on Saturday and two more fixtures on Sunday. Kicking everything off is Derry City v Shamrock Rovers at 7:45pm on Friday. We also have St. Pats v Drogheda at the same time.

New to Paddy Power?

At 4pm on Saturday, Dundalk host Finn Harps before attention turns to the two games on Sunday. Bohemians face Longford and Sligo Rovers travel to Waterford, with both games kicking off at 4pm on Sunday.

Shamrock Rovers are currently top of the league on goal difference ahead of Sligo Rovers and St. Pats. All three teams are level on 38 points.

Drogheda and Bohemians make up the top five, with both teams sitting on 30 points.

At the bottom of the league, Longford are six points adrift of Waterford, while Finn Harps make up the bottom three.
