Pinch me, I must be dreaming. Are we really here already? Project: It’s Coming Home has reached the penultimate stage as England face Denmark in the semi-finals of the Euros.

Denmark’s journey to this stage in the tournament has been nothing short of incredible, coming out of their group on goal difference, despite only scoring once in their two opening games in obviously very difficult circumstances. The Three Lions, on the other hand, have aged like a fine wine on their path to the final four.

Gareth Southgate is finally letting off the handbrake and soon what was a spluttering and, let’s be honest, quite boring England side are starting to take shape. They had a huge performance against Ukraine finding the net four times – twice as many goals as they had through the entire group stage.

All eyes are on England to hopefully, just hopefully, rack up some passes forward and maybe even get themselves a goal or two. Here’s a Bet Builder to give us some entertainment even if the game doesn’t.

England to Win

We sort of have to back them all the way now don’t we? England, despite providing 270 minutes of absolutely, unadulterated, boring arses-to-the-wall football have come to life over the last two games. You’d expect to see England Win and get through this challenge. Just don’t expect to see as many free headers.

Over 2.5 Goals

Both sides have been in great goal-scoring form over the last few games. However, both sides are also very capable of playing a defensive style that can bore the fans to tears.

This will be a game of counters, and possibly headers, with both sides having two of the highest aerial duels won per game at the competition. I’d imagine a 2-1 affair that will simultaneously be tremendously exciting and woefully boring in equal parts with Over 2.5 Goals.

Harry Kane to Score Anytime

Perhaps someone told Harry Kane before the Germany match that if he didn’t get his sh*t together, he was going to have to stay at Tottenham for another season? With three goals in his last two games, expect Kane to Score anytime on Wednesday night.

Joakim Maehle to have 1 or more shots on target

Before the Euros, I’l admit to not knowing much about this Maehle fella. But, my god, has he shown me! A very attacking fullback who seems to end up on the scoresheet a disproportionate amount. He’s had 7 shots on target at the tournament so far on 10 attempts at goal. Joakim Maehle to have 1 or more shots on target is an absolute bargain to bolster your bet builder.

Over 4.5 Cards

Expect these lads to lay it all on the line for this game. Two staunchly defensive orientations primed with defensive midfielders who just love to put in a good Sean Dyche-esque hard tackle. Denmark will be playing with a lot of emotion behind them in front of a very hostile English crowd. All that thrown into the pot means Over 4.5 Cards wraps us up here.
