Roberto Mancini’s charges have rattled off back-to-back 3-0 victories over Turkey and Switzerland, and if they beat Wales today, they will extend their current unbeaten run to a whopping 30 matches – equaling the country’s all-time undefeated record in the process.

If Italy have been the most notable team at the Euros, then Wales might just be responsible for the most eye-catching win of the competition to date as they downed Turkey 2-0 in their last outing. It wasn’t just the scoreline that raised eyebrows, it was the nature of that win for Rob Page’s side that caught the eye.

The Dragons created numerous clear-cut chances against a very decent Turkey team on paper and in truth, the margin of victory could have been much wider in Baku. Manuel Locatelli To Have 1 Or More Shots On Target

Manuel Locatelli has been one of the players of the tournament thus far and will be high on confidence after scoring a brace against Switzerland. He’s averaging 0.81 shots on target (as per the cheat sheet) and the Sassuolo midfielder has shown in the opener two games that he is willing to take on shots if given space.

We absolutely love watching Lorenzo Insigne play. His pace and skill have already made several defenders look foolish at Euro 2020. He found plenty of space to cut in from the left against Switzerland and Turkey, so we fancy him to enjoy similar success by peppering the target against this Welsh side.

Italy To Win

Although Wales have outperformed expectations yet again, we reckon Italy are just a level above. The Azzurri have now won their last 10 matches in a row and haven’t tasted defeat since 2018. Italy have been the team of the tournament thus far, and we fully expect them to top Group A with nine points.

Under 3.5 Cards

Cards have been hard to come by this tournament and we can’t see that changing in the final group games, especially in matches one side is through and the other is almost assured of progression. Italy have yet to pick up a card at the tournament. Meanwhile, Wales have only three of them and two-thirds of them came in a 92nd-minute scuffle last time out. You can predict a lack of intensity here, as both teams will have half an eye on the last 16 already.
