That Romelu Lukaku fella is something else isn’t he? Belgium started out their Euro 2020 campaign in a rip-roaring fashion picking apart Russia 3-0 in their opener. They say the Germans weren’t prepared for the Russian winter, but it looks like the Russians weren’t prepared for a Russian summer either.
Thursday 17:00 – Denmark v Belgium
ITV / RTÉ Two
Meanwhile, Denmark on the other hand, have already come away from the competition with something far more important than any trophy. Let’s see what the numbers say about this game.

Overall, Belgium are the better side here without question. We are all pulling to see Denmark perform, but they won’t be able to overcome a side this strong. Even if this game is at home at the Parken Stadium.
Belgium are an attacking powerhouse, even without the injured Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne pulling the strings in midfield. Since July 2018, The Red Devils have only had one game where there was less than two goals overall. That’s an amazing stat and we don’t see it changing in this contest.
Denmark aren’t going to be able to effectively pick apart a very strong Belgian defensive line without an experienced attacking midfielder there to create chances for the home side. Unfortunately, you would expect another goalless game for the Danes.
Belgium are an extremely disciplined side under Roberto Martinez, and they’ve only received one yellow card in their last five matches. Denmark have also average just under one card on average per game over their last ten matches. We’re going with Under 3.5 Cards though, just in case either side is feeling a little more aggressive.
The Inter Milan frontman in tremendous form and is surrounded by talent that consistently create opportunities for him. He’s already a front runner for the Golden Boot after netting a brace against Russia. Lukaku will look to build on the 30 goals he’s scored this season so far and find the Danish net at any time in this one.
Lukaku has averaged 1.62 shots on target per 90 for Inter this season, and 2.35 shots on target per 90 for Belgium throughout qualification and the Euros thus far. That’s we fancy him to be peppering the target in this contest.
