Friday night’s football action has plenty of important games to keep an eye on. We’ll be looking at a Superliga play off final from Denmark where the final place for European football is up for grabs and two matches from the Irish Premier League with a couple of teams hitting form.

18:00: Aarhus (AGF) v Aalborg (AaB) – Both Teams to Score

Denmark splits its league into two towards the end of the season with the top team from the Relegation Group ‘winning’ the chance to play whoever comes fourth in the Champions Group for a shot at European football. AGF came fourth while AaB came top in their group. The home side aren’t in great form, they’ve won two of their last five, losing the other three. Their home form is showing the same stats and over a longer set of games they’ve only won four of their last nine at home, drawing one and losing four.

AaB are in better form, they’ve won three of their last five, drawing and losing one each. Away from home though they’ve only won one of their last five, losing two and drawing two. Honors are even between the pair in previous meetings here with two wins each and one draw over their five most recent league meetings. The away side have the better overall form, scoring 11 over their last five games but AGF rarely go a home game without scoring. The smart money is on Both Teams to Score here.

19:45: Drogheda v Derry City – BTTS

Drogs are steadily climbing up the league after a shaky start to the season. The home side have won four of their last five and drew the previous two. At home their form has been improving too, they’ve drawn three of their last six, losing one but have won both of their most previous matches at United Park. Derry’s form has been patchy all season and they’ve been struggling to get the wins at home. Over their last five matches they’ve won one, drawn three and lost one. Away from home though things are far better where they’ve won three of their last five, drawing and losing one apiece.

The home side have the better form but Derry’s away stats are too good to ignore. Drugs have scored nine over their last five at home, Derry have netted five over their five on their travels. We’re looking at another BTTS here.

19:45: St Pats v Dundalk – St Pats to Win and BTTS

St Pats’ form is slipping and they’re going to start sliding down the table if they can’t make things right. They’ve won just one of their last five in the league, drawing two and losing two. At home though their form is good with four wins and one loss over their last five at Richmond Park. Dundalk had a good win over Shamrock Rovers last weekend but then went and lost 5-1 to Bohs on Monday night last. Their form has seen them winning one of their last five, drawing two and losing two. On their travels they’ve won one, drawn three and lost one, scoring in all five.

St Pats’ have only kept two clean sheets against Dundalk over their last 10 meetings here in all competitions but their superior home record should see them coming out on top, although a clean sheet looks unlikely against a Dundalk side who are rarely kept scoreless. St Pats to Win and BTTS is what we’re going with here.

Friday’s treble:

18:00: Aarhus (AGF) v Aalborg (AaB) – Both Teams to Score
19:45: Drogheda v Derry City – BTTS
19:45: St Pats v Dundalk – St Pats to Win and BTTS

These picks in treble will give you odds of around 14/1 with Paddy Power.
