Glory and untold riches await on Saturday and I think I might have unearthed our pathway to both. There’s also the bottomless Premier League TV rights package, youth teams in cup competitions and a long season of struggle on the horizon for either Brentford or Swansea if they can win The Championship playoff final at Wembley.

Swansea have had a spin on the Premier League roller coaster before while Brentford are still standing on their tippy toes and straining every sinew to get a ticket to ride. They’ve been building towards this for a while whereas Swansea might feel like they have a bit of a right to their spot in the front row, having spent seven seasons there between 2011 and 2018.
There’s sprinklings of genuine Premier League quality on display among the two teams with goal-machine Ivan Toney set for the top flight next season, whether that’s with The Bees or not depends on Saturday’s result. Swansea skipper Matt Grimes looks like he can cut it at the level above while Andre Ayew is, frankly, too good for The Championship. But with it all on the line at Wembley on Saturday, let’s see where the smart money’s going for our Bet Builder.

Both games between these two in the regular season finished 1-1 and Unders has landed in four of Brentford’s last six games. Swansea’s numbers are the same over that period meaning this has clicked 66% of the time for our heroes here recently.
I can’t see this being a classic game, what with the guarantee of 5-0 home and away losses to Manchester City the ultimate prize for the winner. I think this will be a tense affair and Under 2.5 Goals feels like the perfect way to kick off our Bet Builder here.

Whatever happens, one thing the stats tell us that we won’t see a lot of in this game is corners. The last five games matches involving Brentford have seen, on average, 7 corners per match with 3.6 of those going to The Bees.
Swansea have seen more with an average of 10 per game, with 4.4 of those being awarded to the south Wales side. It all boils down to an aggregate total of 8.5 corners per match between these two and an average of 4 per 90 minutes for our teams here.
That’s a lot of numbers, but essentially what I’m saying is back Under 10.5 Corners. We’ve only seen Over 10.5 in three of these two’s last 10 games combined and they’ve only individually amassed more than five in a game once over that timeframe.
Andre Ayew to Have 1 or More Shots on Target
Ayew showed his class in Swansea’s first leg win over Barnsley to score a sublime goal, cutting in from the right and bending it into the far corner with his left foot. It’s a moot point that if Swansea get promoted then next season that wouldn’t have counted as VAR would have got involved to spoil the fun and rule it out for offside.
But he loves a shot, does Ayew, and he has had 1.6 attempts per game this season, firing 16 more than anyone else in the Swansea squad. Unsurprisingly he’s Steve Cooper’s top scorer and, judging by the semi finals, is in the mood to take his place back at the top table.
With all eyes on him to perform, I think Ayew is going to be chancing his arm even more often than usual in a bid to be the hero. I think it’s well worth siding with Andre Ayew to have 1 or More Shots on Target here.
Ivan Toney to Score Anytime
Ivan Toney has been the star of The Championship this season, bagging 32 goals in a record-breaking campaign for the former Newcastle and Peterborough man. He’s got 22 more than any of his team mates and only God knows where they’d be without him.
He’s the focal point of this Brentford side, is on penalties, and will surely be the man making the headlines again if the west London side go up. At a decent price to round off our Bet Builder, Ivan Toney to Score Anytime is the way to go in the goal-scorer markets.
