New to Paddy Power?

For Thursday’s football we’ll be taking a look at three relegation/promotion Playoffs from Germany, France and Italy and last season’s Eliteserien winners are in action having started the league with three wins and a draw. Let’s find some value in the markets.

5pm: Bodo/Glimt vs Haugesund: Bodo/Glimt to Win & BTTS

Bodo/Glimt are massive favourites here and the home side have started their league campaign with three wins and a draw. They ran away with the league title last season and will be up against it to repeat their feat of taking the league by a margin of 19 points. They don’t have a great home record against their opponents. Over their last five league matches here they’ve only won one, losing three and one ended level. Their home form in the league is fantastic though, the last time they lost at home was 27 games ago.

Haugesund have only played two games so far this season, both were 0-0 draws. Hard to see them coming away from this with anything positive but their goal-scoring record in this fixture has been great, scoring 12 over their last five league visits. We’re going with the home side to keep their good home form going but both sides should get on the scoresheet as well.

5.15pm: Ingolstadt vs Osnabruck: Ingolstadt to Win

Ingolstadt missed out on promotion to the Bundesliga II by just four goals. They were level with Hansa Rostock above them but three goals behind on goal difference. They’re unbeaten over their last 17 at home, winning 12 and drawing five.

Osnabruck’s away form picked up towards the end of the season, winning two, drawing two and losing one, they had lost five of their seven prior to those. The home side have the momentum here and a far superior goals record with 56 over their 38 league games compared to Osnabruck’s 35 over their 34 matches. We’re on Ingolstadt to Win here.

7.45pm: Toulouse vs Nantes: Both Teams to Score

Toulouse have a great opportunity to return to Ligue 1 at their first attempt and they were unlucky not to finish in the top two, missing out on promotion but just two points. They’re in mighty home form, losing just two of their last 20 at home in the league. Nantes’ form also picked up towards the end of the season, winning four of their last five, losing the other one in their attempt to avoid this Playoff, but it was too little too late after what was a pretty bad season for them.

Their recent form though has seen them scoring 14 over their last five games and goals are obviously needed here. Toulouse have scored 12 over their last five so we’ve got to go with Both Teams to Score here for very decent odds considering the stats and what’s on the line here.

8.30pm: Venezia vs Cittadella: Venezia to Win

Unlike the German and French matches above this is the second leg of the Serie B final with Venezia holding a 1-0 lead over Cittadella. The home side are favourites here but there’s very little between the sides; Venezia finished the season on 59 points with Cittadella just behind them on 57. This will be their fifth match though of the Playoff rounds with Venezia winning three and drawing one, Cittadella have won two and lost two.

Venezia are pretty strong at home, they’ve won three of their last five, drawing two (winning one in ET) and scoring a very healthy 10 goals. Cittadella aren’t great travellers in the league, they’ve won just one of their last five on the road, drawing one and losing three. We have to go with the home side to Win here, they have the better form and have been strong over the Playoffs so far.
