It’s all eyes on the French capital for what looks to be an absolutely mouth-watering Champions League semi final first leg clash between Paris St-Germain and Manchester City in the main event on Wednesday night. There might, admittedly, be a little less fanfare about the other big game from across the continent – Valladolid’s trip to Athletic Bilbao.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

However, this is a mega-value double that feels too good to be true. Well, sometimes, it really is as good as it looks. So, buckle up and let’s get stuck into a big-priced double on Wednesday night.

6pm: Athletic Bilbao v Valladolid – The Draw

Valladolid are scrapping for their lives down at the bottom of La Liga and they have a one-point deficit to overturn on Elche to escape the final relegation spot. This is their game in hand and they have a better goal difference than Elche as well.

Bilbao are resigned to mid-table obscurity and are nine points adrift of the final European spot with six games to play. They pulled off a shock 2-1 win over 1st-placed Atletico Madrid last time out which was their first win in seven games.

Since beating Granada at the start of March they lost two and drew five before winning on Sunday. Valladolid have drawn four of their last six, losing the other two. You might be a step ahead of me here.

That’s right, I’m plumping for The Draw in this one. These two have taken a point from 10 of their last 18 combined games. It’s the most likely outcome and with the price on offer I’m more than happy to share the spoils once again here.

8pm: PSG v Man City – PSG to Win and Both Teams To Score

I don’t want to pump this up too much but this could, and perhaps should, be the game of the season. You can bet your bottom dollar Manchester City will be looking to get an away goal out of their trip to Paris St-Germain in their Champions League semi final first leg here.

With their incredible attacking talent, and City’s improved but by no-means bullet-proof defence, surely the Parisians will net as well. And, in fact, at the price on offer they’re the bet to win this match which feels like a bit of a coin toss.

These two have failed to score on just two occasions – once each – over their combined 20 Champions League matches this season. You look at the galaxy of attacking options for both sides and it just feels like there is going to be goals.

PSG are a good-enough price to just back to Win but with goals on the menu I’m happy to juice this up by combining it with Both Teams to Score. Most of all I’m hoping for an entertaining contest and I think Paris St-Germain will Win with Both Teams To Score.
